He was good last night, 2 assists. Killed the 5 on 3. Won the faceoff on the last play that would have given them the win if it wasn't called back. He was the Danault we need.

Fine. But still ignores the underlying issue. He was fired because he played the vets in key situations and was not pushing the kids into growth situations.

This is entirely based on assumptions on your part. For all we know Youppi is the best candidate he just hasn't been given a shot.

To suggest DD is a better coach due to some minimal NHL experience is pretty flimsy evidence.

And again, as stated many times both yesterday and today, I'm fine with it being DD. I get the french coach thing and have no interest fighting it but I'm also not going to pretend that by severely limiting your potential options over something as trivial as a language that won't be spoken to the players you somehow will get the best candidates because it's factually incorrect and completely illogical. But the ship has sailed

Never read the whole thread (22 pages). What's the chance of St Patrick coming in as a coach? He might not be a great coach like CJ but obviously that doesn't always win (says captain obvious). His desire, winning ways and attitude (MB word) might light a fire under these guys a55's and change the atmosphere in the room.

Roy wants to be a GM and coach or at least have a lot more say in GM decisions. Can't see MB wanting to do that let alone with a guy who is considered a diety in Montreal who politically could outrank his boss

We did have Toffoli on a Break Away and did not score...

We had our chances to win that game but we did not...

You can include Gally's goal that got refused...

We don't play great but we still could have win that game easily...
