i would absolutely not arbitrarily split it 50-50 right now. start Allen tomorrow. if he performs, start him again Saturday. go from there. we've seen this with Price before. when he gets his head stuck up his ass like this it can last for weeks where he's just giving up 4-5 goals every night. - DoubleDown
why wouldn't he just push out a step or so if he wanted to get all jonathan quick on that last shot? so tiny. so low. |

Look at Bruce Cassidy and John Cooper, I'd rather a Ducharme then a Deboer

Ducharme will break the curse.

I also think he'll do very well, and eventually be confirmed as headcoach

the vast majority of coaches in EU soccer leagues speak the national language - DoubleDown
Correction, the vast majority can speak English. Zidane spoke pretty much no Spanish when initally hired way back. But has learned the last while since he now just lives in Madrid. Trappatoni, Pochettino? Both known to use translators. |

I am? Pretty sure I pointed out we all accept it would be a french coach to the point discussion of English coaches is an exercise is futility. But nice try at a strawman because you have a poop argument about forcing the draft of french guys in later rounds - Takemedrunkimhome

that's not a correction. whether they speak English or not is not the point. the point is that 95%+ of them speak the local language. most coaches in Ligue 1 speak French. most coaches in Serie A speak Italian.... etc.

That and they are high profile superstar coaches. Unless were getting Barry Trotz the rest of the lot of recycled anglo coaches witj 18 lives is not very appealing

Wow I picked a bad day to sleep in. I guess Bergevin isn t the complete fool we took him for. Whether he has the balls to hire Gallant is another story, but I am quite happy to try a young coach in Ducharme. |
