He’s without a doubt the most important forward, maybe player on this roster and he’s pretty much been the difference in every Sens win this season.

Don't see that Logan Brown was placed on the taxi squad but as of today Brannstrom was.

money move, because he's on a 2-way deal, they only pay him an AHL salary days he's on the taxi squad. apparently it's because rather common for teams to do this during this season.

L. Brown will play in mid March when there's only 26 games left. He needs to be protected in the expansion draft if he plays 27 games. Playing 5 games in Bville is not going to hurt him because he's not in playing shape.

I'm told JBD is absolutely turning pro when the UND season ends. So expect to see him in the Sens lineup at some point this season.

Regarding Tkachuk, I don’t love to see him throw the fists regularly but do think it has value if the situation calls for it. If he can get the bench motivated by doing that, great. There is a fine line for good fights and stupid fights. Let’s hope he plays that line well.

I do agree with some of the comments that he may not be the best candidate for captain. Not because of his fighting but because of his under-the-skin style of play. Not sure that jives, but who knows. I don’t really love Chabot as a candidate either. It might be useful to wait a couple of years to see how some of the young guys (such as Stu, Batherson, etc) grow and revaluate. Zero rush to slap a C on a non-playoff team.

This team handed Yashin the C when they had a guy who would be much better suited for the role already on the roster in Alfie.

agree....don't want to see him fight a lot, but something like last game, where he beat the poop out of a guy who'd been taking liberties for a few games, and who just delivered a "questionable hit" on me.........i loved that fight.

Chlapik being waived is kind of F***ed. Don't know what happened but I hate seeing assets go for nothing - especially prospects in a deep draft.
