Maybe we'll score some goals tonight. We never score any for Greiss.

Nah Hutton is awful. Cholowski for Montour is what I'd offer. Montour is a rental. Bernier is a UFA. We need Greiss. I'm hoping Bernier is re-signed. Picard is AHL depth. I just ate my carrots. You're good. 👍

Cholo is actually showing some life in GR.....that is why I was a bit hesitant to mention him this time......but yeah, we need to keep this goalie tandem, it is probably the best part of this team right now....and I am hoping we re-sign Bernier as there are no prospects ready to be on this team in the near future. We need to trade for Spencer Knight in the off season.

A LD solution this summer is to trade for Nick Leddy as he has only 1 yr left at $5.5M and NYI is looking for cap space to re-sign Pelech and Cizikus. Probably get him for a 7th and they can send him and a 4th or 5th.

Might have to just give a 4th for him as he is younger and better than Staal. still a good deal.

Wait a minute! Ekholm would be better but you have to give up pretty good assets fo him and there is certain to be a bidding war at the TDL.

Another wasted night watching this garbage. Each time they win a game I believe they are getting better and drag me back to watch this crap. Coaching is a total disgrace a good coach could get more out of this group who most nights show no pride in the jersey. Again Gallant took a group of players at the time that were castoffs, players no one wanted and old veterans and were picked to finish last over all by most sports prognosticators . Instead he took this time to Stanley cup finals , that’s what a good coach can do . Chicago another example this year were supposed to challenge Detroit for basement . Good coaching and player management has already been overachieved in Chicago. Blashill keep playing fippulia and Nielsen and Erne no upside for offence and there defence is not much better. On a side note goaltending has been very good this year and djoos has been a very good pickup second best defence man on team

Horrible.

I mean, the only reason this wasn't a blowout is that Nashville also sucks. The Red Wings generated almost nothing.

The difference between Chicago and Detroit this year is almost entirely a function of the powerplay. Chicago's is near the top of the league and Detroit is at the bottom. At even strength, the teams are almost equally bad, with the Hawks actually slightly worse.

Like I said coaching Chicago has learned that there power play is there bread and butter right now and that is good coaching Blashill and his team have definitely taught the wings how to be good losers

I would credit Chicago's early-season success more to good fortune than good coaching. I think they're still a pretty lousy team that will probably come back to earth.

That being said, I agree with you that Detroit has a significant coaching problem.

I think Houda and Bylsma are bigger issues than Blashill too.
