Yea idk how to get Gusev going. Feels like a waste but if we can get a nice return (for someone doing squat this year) then it may be worth the move. I feel like nobody has really been standing out consistently. Palmieri and Gusev have to be better players than what they’re showing us.

When you trade the backbones of the PK (Greene and Coleman) you’re bound to have some growing pains but this is just unimaginable.

Thank god we got the win but dear lord something needs to change. Shot blocking? More aggressive to the points? I don’t know but they have 40 hours before back to back games with Ovi and the Caps loaded PP.

To be fair, for a team that's supposed to have a generational talent in eichel, a former mvp in his prime in hall, and what has been touted as best D prospect in a long time in dahlin, to still be in the basement of the league with the other talent on the sabres well yeah it's pretty dire in buffalo, when will they improve?

The devils sucked last year but have shown improvement, if you take the PK away.

This bromance line has to stay together! They're clearly best buds and complement each other very well on the ice. A young, hardworking, skilled line that is tough to relatively tough to play against considering they're skilled forwards. Really hope this is the start of something for Zacha.

Obviously this streak will stop at some point, but he was on pace for 40 points last season. Now given this type of role (1st line and PP) with these specific linemates, we could really see him start to become a consistent producer. He's on pace for 65 over 82 right now, which clearly isn't fair to assume would happen or that we should drastically change our expectations, but boy it's nice to see him do this for now.

He is playing great. I always thought the guy was a master of the basics, but a bottom 6 guy with PK duties. He is raising his ceiling finally. Happy to see him start putting up some numbers. Ride the hot hand Ruff!

These guys are playing on a different level. We all expected this from Hughes. Some of us expected Zacha, but to have at least 4 kids in one offseason? LIke what happened during the break?

No. We aren't much better than Buffalo. But do we have a mutiny on our hands? No. Did we ink Skinner to a a massive deal after his 61 point season, no. Your top 4 forwards combine for 28 points in 59 games played, and $33M AAV. Devs entire forward roster is just 36M, and Huches/Zacha/Wood combine for 32 points in 45 games for under 6M.

Your big dogs are failing hard right now. Only good thing going for you guys is that you should be able to flip Hall for a 1st. It was your best move this offseason. Hopefully next year you can pull the trigger on a goalie, and ink Dahlin to a reasonable extension. But you boys have some serious contract problems at the moment.
