So when was the last time Nylander was first star of the game for the Leafs - and how many time in his career did he actually got chosen 1st star?
Genuine question - I don't know where to find an overview of 3 stars of the game.
3 stars is subjective - but it does show some trends..
(I would think Marner Matthews andersson rielly and Tavares have most 1st star picks last few seasons for leafs?)

I have Gibson in my pool, can confirm he's been a GD sieve as of late.

Not a shining argument for Fred that the two have identical numbers however when one plays for Anaheim and the other plays for the leafs.🤮

Supposedly it doesn’t matter who plays in front of the goalie. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Goaltending is not one of our strengths.

Leafs 2nd for goals, must not be any other teams strengths either 🤣

I kid I kid...🤓

Max, you're boring me to tears with this first star stuff. Could you please go on for 1200 words instead about the different types of covid vaccinations, and the logistics of worldwide distribution? It would be more interesting!
Or, if that doesn't work for you, could you give us the "European view" of your hero Putin targeting NHL players who support Navalny?

Those 3 star selections really matter to 10 year old fans. Besides you and ardfart I’ve never heard anything about it from “adult” fans.

This really, really hurts me to say it, because the guy grew up in my neighbourhood, I pretended to be him whenever I played roadhockey, and I ate a burger or two at his burger shack Palmy's, but Mike Palmateer wasn't all that good.
- Atomic Wedgie

In 1977 and 1978 he was an elite goalie; he was right in the mix with Dryden, Vachon, Esposito, Edwards and Parent. Then he hurt his knee.

Well it absolutely does if you're asking me, it just can't be the first reason a goaltender struggles 100% of the time. Everyone has to be accountable at the end of the day. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Perhaps he could just take this opportunity to inform us all about how great Hyman is. 🤔

I never got to watch them play but looking at some of these old school goalies and it's incredible how short they were:

Rogie Vachon:5'7
Mike Palmateer: 5'9
Don Edwards: 5'9
Gilles Meloche: 5'9

I honestly don't know if he was that good, but his unorthodox approach and insane sprints and slides and theatrical nature made him fun to watch. Statistically he was in the top-5 for goalies who had 40 or more starts in '76-77, and he was top top-3 the following year; in '78-79, he was arguably the best goalie in the league by GSAA, and it wasn't particularly close. The first year he had 4 shutouts, tied for the 5th most in the league, and the next year he had 5, tied for the 2nd most in the league (behind Parent), then in '78, again, he had 4, tied for 2nd most in the league.

In '78-79 he was 5th in Hart voting.

He got results.

So on the record - you support Navalny and everything he stands for (including his political views and beliefs)?
