You'd think Buffalo would've learned from the Okposo contract. Nope! He still has 2 years left on his deal by the way. 👍

(frank)ing horrible.

No wonder Eichel wants to gtfo.

You know, everyone knew it was a bad contract the second it was signed.

But I must admit.

I didn't expect him to go from "scored 40 goals" to "absolute poopshow" in only 2 years.

Hell I thought he could be a 50 points guy on an offensive Sabres team... but nope... not even close.

100%

I completely expected: scores less than Nylander but makes more.

To be clear, we are discussing which goalie to sign next, put him in a blue and white jersey and then completely destroy him.

The Leafs have had 5 good goalies in my life that I really consider good: Palmateer, Potvin, Joseph, Belfour, and Andersen.

We've had a lot of guys that I have liked, but never consider great - like Reimer, Fuhr, and if I ignore their numbers, Wregget and Bester . . .

There are big skates to fill for whoever comes and replaces Freddie.

What about Peter Ing and Jeff Reese? Damian "Dusty" Rhodes?

This really, really hurts me to say it, because the guy grew up in my neighbourhood, I pretended to be him whenever I played roadhockey, and I ate a burger or two at his burger shack Palmy's, but Mike Palmateer wasn't all that good.

So cringe even thinking about that contract.

It's the perfect poopstorm

I never thought there would ever be a contract that was worse than David Clarkson's but wow. Here we are.

- TheMussel

The year he scored 40 for the Sabres, I think it was mid Feb, I forget who they were playing, but I remember Skinner getting injured in the game, and I thought he was going to miss a bunch of time, but he didn’t miss a game. I was shocked. I paid attention to him after, and he only scored something like 4 goals in the last 25 games. I couldn’t believe they signed him long term at that salary. I thought they’d go 1 year to see how he’d fare.

Apparently Dubas wants Hall..

It would have to be a 3 team deal so they could move Nylander out. Theres no way Buffalo would take him.

The fact the stats for the 2 goalies you are talking about are so eerily similar & is perhaps why your not hearing about Gibson much these days.

Gibson
GAA 2.67
SV% .908

Andersen
GAA 2.69
SV% .905

🤷🏻‍♂️

- Cush29

I have Gibson in my pool, can confirm he's been a GD sieve as of late.

Not a shining argument for Fred that the two have identical numbers however when one plays for Anaheim and the other plays for the leafs.🤮

Probably one of those poop rumour sites that I just read the leafs have offered Nylander, Dermott and Liljegren for Forsberg on... 🤣

Every single thing with that peon boils down to Nylander.

I'm not buying they want him, and they certainly would not trade Nylander for him
