No, they'd be bad, but not THAT bad.

He actually only got one point last night, a PP goal. The rest of the Coilers scored 3.

Wow. Vancouver is 2-8-2 in their last 12, and have blown at least 3 third period leads. I like Travis Green, but I was sure he was the first to go.

Over the same period, the Habs are 5-5-2 - scuffling a little, but . . .

Yeesh.

Montreal started the year 8-2-2 and has gone 1-3-2 over its last six.

In those six games, the Habs have a 57% goal share at 5v5, have failed to score a goal in 10 minutes of PP time and have allowed six goals in 27 minutes on the PK.

seems like a decent team going through a rough patch.

I look forward to the new coach "fixing" the team when they return to just getting average results for what they are doing now.

Is Patrick Roy available?

EDIT: He's the Head coach and GM of the Quebec Remparts. (QMJHL)

If they're looking at Roy then they might as well get coach from Letterkenney

Montreal is 11th in the league in winning percentage.

Forgive me for asking the d-bag question, but any chance this is not related to on-ice performance?

He wasn't bad with Colorado, no?

I honestly can't remember.

I do remember he was the guy who came up with pulling the goalie with 3-4 minutes left.

Honestly, it's a shortened season, so this 6 game slide is like a prorated 9 game slide if you want to get picky? I just don't get how much pressure he can be under; it's so knee-jerk.

Again, though, that makes this 12 game stint (or really the entire season) for Vancouver like an 18 game slide in a normal season (3-12-3). I guess with different expectations comes different levels of patience, but I'm just shocked.

Roy had a great first year IIRC. He and Sakic weren't on the same page. Roy wanted to trade for Drouin.

Honestly I had to wonder about the same thing. I went to read the quotes to see if there was any allusion to something else, but there's nothing there.

They've been selling that they have a contending, deep, great team, especially after their hot start, and now they're losing most of their games. 2 in a row against Ottawa is not good. I don't think their team is really all that good, but they did, and they can see their season slipping away fast, in a season with a pretty good opportunity. No Tampa or Boston in division should have made them smile, and their team is stinking upthe joint.
