I’m just trying to enjoy the uniqueness of the game. Once they let the game get past a 1 goal game it was over. This lineup is wild! Is everyone supposed to be back Wednesday?

Side note, f in Canadian media already talking league mvp. McDavid or Matthews. You CANNOT award an mvp with the way that the divisions are set up.

I’m not so worried about the outcome. They were going to need everything to go right to win this game with their current lineup. That went out the window in the first minute.

What I’m concerned about is how goal 2, 3, 4, and 5 could and probably should have been saved. Hart has not been great this season. He’s 22, he has time to figure it out. But it might not be a bad idea to give Elliott a few games this week.

I agree. The more I watch the setup of the league this year, the more I think it’s a farce. The Canadian div makes a mockery of the integrity of the league.

Mike Tirico has brought up how fast the game seems when you are up close. It’s almost as if he’s not a big hockey fan.

Are there any fans at all at this game?

If not, then this gimmick game is even sillier than other outdoor games.

This league loves gimmicks.

He’s had a terrible time vs Boston this year. Lost all confidence vs them. These are the growing pains that he needs to go though. Price went through the same. It’s not a linear upward progression

Us Canadians see how easy the north division is for Toronto and maybe Montreal. But you have these teams playing regular games against many of these other teams down south and I guarantee Toronto does not have the record they have or the amount of points for both Matthews and the Oilers two boys.
Playing Ottawa/ Calgary/Edmonton and Vancouver over and over just inflated your point totals.
Hell Ottawa was giving up on an average 5-6 goals a game for most part of this season.

Doesn’t mean you leave him in...perhaps didn’t want to embarrass him by pulling him during the period....but he is playing like poop...you need to protect him. Rough night for him...couple of really good goals...but at least 3 were weak.

Exactly the truth. It’s insane. You’ve basically got 2 decent teams in that div, who are now guaranteed a semi final spot. Don’t have to play Boston or tampa at all. Instead ott Vancouver and Calgary 8 times. What a farce.

I’d be ok with more starts from moose. Let Him work on his game.

One thing to note, goalies have barely practiced as well, and that can lead to really losing your game. I focus on the terrible lineup but we’ve also basically been off the ice for 2 weeks. That’s part of why I thought a replacement team should have been named instead of sending us in like lambs to slaughter.

Yeah. The Individual awards are bogus imo. So is the presidents trophy.

This has to be tough for G, Jake, TK, Laughts, Oskar and Braun to see at home. I hope it lights a fire under them when they come back.

At least we get to see the absolute splendor that is Moose's mask!
