I read this week that many Texans buy a form of electricity insurance to guard against this.

That sounds ridiculous, as does privatized hydro without brakes on the price in the first place. I am not generally a big government interference supporter, but Hydro is a necessity of life in situations like this. People need to be protected.

I also think bailing these people out of the ridiculous hydro bills is better than just bindly cutting cheques for everyone in the U.S.

Good lord, that country just keeps embarrassing themselves.

I take no pride in calling this.

I wish he's just learn to be more responsible and compete like he wants to keep his job. But sadly that wont ever happen and its 7mil that could've been better spent elsewhere.

I think that is the point. It doesn't matter if he ends up with decent, or even good offensive numbers at the end of the year. Clearly the coach isn't happy with how he is playing and at this point, I think we all have to acknowledge the warts.

We just can't afford that salary with Hyman, Rielly and a goalie coming up.

I think the Leafs need to be careful with Hyman and Rielly, and especially careful with Ander5en... but even if they do well in those negotiations, they are still going to need some significant cash. I think Nylander has to go.
