He really seems to be having trouble keeping up with the flow.

Wow tough loss hate the (frank)ing Penguins not because they’re suddenly good but just because they’re weenuses. |

Tough loss. Isles could not do much with the extra attacker. All teams have to work to score goals but the Isles have seem to have to work that much harder. |

I know some people love the kid on here but he’s just a not as good Mart Mcinnis to me. Too inconsistent for my liking. If he found some consistency he would be a great player but that’s what separates mediocre players from great players. Beauvillier is mediocre. Then he’ll be great for five then invisible or bouncing around out there doing nothing for fifteen. |

Beau had a nice playoffs and adds much needed speed but he does need to find that consistency. |

I don’t hate the kid but I’m not slopping his knob like some on here do either. |

That last Pens goal was a pristine example of what is going wrong with this team. One moment they're in the game, the next players miss an assignment in their own end and it becomes catostrophic. Mental lapses.
Nice to see Nelson get on the board, though it was a bit of a flukey goal. That said, they really need more out of him, Bailey and now Beau, if they're going to turn this around.

Gotcha. This is nothing new but the Isles have more 3rd line type players than true top 6 players. |

Pens look like a different team have to give them credit. They didn’t give the islanders much room either of these games for the most part. We had some chances but they played a tight checking couple of games. |

I agree kenaer. Islanders play a great overall system and keep things tight but it's a lot of pressure when the offense is spotty. |

He's got good speed and an aggressive offensive mindset, which I like, but he skates himself out of plays at times. He's so young still. Hopefully he catches up, but he just seems to be slow in processing things right now. |

They really do look like a different team. Who taught them defense? |

It's time to move on from beauvillier and bellows and actually get a player that can score 20 plus goals for this team |

Like I said I don’t hate the kid but I’m not enamored with him either. If he finds some consistency he’ll be a very good player I just have a feeling he is what he is at this point. Also, I know he missed some games and his timing is off but this was also him preinjury. |

Pretty crappy to come out of these two games without even a point to show for it. We’re right back to the middle of the pack. |

We didn't see the mental lapses with them the last two years or as much anyways. To me the biggest issue is they don't bury the chances they get on offense and that forces them to play a perfect game on d. |
