Game summary - dumpster fire and death rattle


I’ve been blessed in my life to meet people from nearly every imaginable occupation. The more interesting or strange, the more I like to try and hear a story or two. When a colleague of mine (during my last sales job in Telecom) told me he did side jobs for a funeral home as a young man, I was intrigued. His job was to pick up a “client” and deliver it to the funeral home for preparation. Naturally I asked if that was a terrifying job. He acknowledge, “only sometimes”. One of his first pickups was at night. It was quiet on the trip to the funeral home (no radio). He then heard moaning coming from the back. He soon learned that this was commonly called the “death rattle”. It appears to be a sign of life, but is in fact, the opposite. He was a teenager, and I wonder how he ever slept again.

Detroit laid down and gave up tonight. The score aside, Gudas continues to take runs at Larkin, and no response. Almost no significant hitting. No one who has any real hope to bring respect to the room is doing anything. Earning a game ejection would be a rallying cry, at least. Until this squad wants to demand respect from their opponents, they won’t get it. It’s a quick turnaround for another game tomorrow. There’s nothing to indicate that it will be much of an improvement at this point.

honestly no reason to watch this team. im a die hard wings fan and will always watch but this team has nothing. need to get raymond and seider in here to get some hope on this sad sack roster.

they have nothing. theres no hope on the team. its not like they have Seider, Raymond or some other young stud out there making fantastic plays and showing promise. there is Zadina but he looks lost like the rest of the team.

this is a hard sell at the deadline obviously. if its not nailed down, move it out of here (Staal, Ryan,Filpulla, Helm, etc.)

Detroit’s long time masseuse just passed away. Apparently there was some type of “shut down” post game. HSJ just heard from Nielsen that this was the case. Out of respect, I’m changing the name of the post. Very tragic

Yeah I switched to the Canes-Hawks game at 3-0

Seider was on fire before he got hurt. They were calling him a “demolition man”. He was laying guys out all over the ice. Raymond had a bad start to the year, but has a lot of talent. Veleno picking up a bit, Berggren too. Soderblom had a great WJC. We’ll see what happens
