Even he kind of wanted a third goal called back last night.

Buttalo is exactly where I figured they'd be, basically. I thought NJ would be last but Hughes is playing very well for them. I was thinking that NYR would be a bit better, though.

My guess is Hall knew full well how terrible the Sabres are, and that's why he took a one year deal at the most money any team would/could give him and that he'd be dealt to a contender. Sly move by Hall.

I trust exactly zero stats this season. Whoever is counting things is a fool. Shots, hits, everything.

But I also think it's not entirely their fault. I think they're not even in the arena and tracking these things?

They took me through the press box, I chatted with Joe Bowen, and I asked about the "real time stats" - they basically told me that they pay a student $50 a game to take them. There's absolutely no league-wide standard, there's no training, it's just "hey, keep track of hits and stuff."

Zach Hyman was hobbled last night after blocking a shot in the second period (I think), but stayed in and toughed it out to the end. Looked like his foot at the time.
