he's been better than barrie with leafs so far for sure.
still, he's not very good defensively.
he's not as prone to give up the puck when he has posession, he has good patience.
still, i'd take dougie hamilton 10 times over him to play with rielly on the top pair.

That we obviously can’t afford. Pietroangelo was the better but not feasible player last year, but I’m happy to play this again.

That we obviously can’t afford. Pietroangelo was the better but not feasible player last year, but I’m happy to play this again.

Leafs have to decide if they want to go long term with Rielly as #1. If they decide he's not part of the plan, then a guy like Dougie would be a very nice fit.
