I think he’s a 3rd liner at best (on this team) but I see more upside in Petan than Vesey from what I’ve seen of both.

Petan's biggest problem is his size. He's small, but he's smarter and more skilled than Vesey. Vesey is 6'3, which coaches just gravitate towards. If Vesey didn't play small, it would be asset. But when you're a big guy who plays small . . . you can eventually end up sitting in the Taxi Squad in Arizona in Gauthier territory.

Agreed. Petan is a guy who is skilled enough to be playing top 9 on a lot of teams and top 6 on some. He could be a guy to get moved, he won’t get much of a return but I could see him as a part of a package - although I’d rather see Vesey get moved.
