There seems to be a tipping point with prospects with sheltering them too much or rushing them. A fine line. I’m not saying lameriello or trotz did either or saying they’ve done a bad job with developing young players. I don’t think they’ve been here long enough to really have an opinion on that but I can say they certainly take their time with them which I don’t have an issue with.

No question Garth and Cappy did a lousy job. Lou and Barry do need more time before a determination can be made. You do need to give young players time to develop but the Cap does make it tough to give as much time as possible. Still do not like the idea of giving out 4 year deals to Leo and Martin regardless. I would rather go with a young player even if not 100% ready or take a flyer on a player on a one year deal over giving out a bad contract.

Not a big mystery what my position is on this to me it seems completely unnecessary to commit long term to players of this caliber. If they need that term and salary to sign then you move on. Period. I’ll never agree with it.

No worries. Yeah, it was a funny time. He had a hell of an online footprint. I was running an Intel team for a major company and was half tempted to offer you a job for your work

Haha, that’s funny. Capt, I’m sure Chiefs was involved somehow. That was a complete team effort that day.

I know Belmont is not ready yet but I thought Lou and Barry would be able to do better with FA's. We joke about it but Neil Smith did manage to sign some pretty decent FA's in 30 days.

Whom did he sign? Did he sign Miro Satan? Richard Park? I honestly can't remember.

OK, thanks. Those were 3 pretty good players, even if Sillinger was on the downside of his career. He was an excellent 2-way center.
