Need to make a statement to these Penguins Saturday.
The Pens haven’t played very well defensively this year and they have played well as far as Defense tonight.

Although I know poop, I never played with LaFontaine, Pittsburgh played the last 2 periods beautifully against us. The garbage goal in the beginning was it. We played good in the first.

Agreed on the game synopsis and you can be critical of professional hockey players on a hockey message board even though they’re better at hockeying then you. It’s kind of what fans do and the point of this thing to discuss the good and bad of our team

It's sort of silly to say that professionals aren't worthy of criticism just because they're talented. I find no need to talk about NHLers I've played with, like you said, most of us likely have. I'll say the thing that struck me more than their talent was their awareness and what years of solid coaching does for your decision making in pressure situations.

The difference isn't always talen(it usually is too) but the speed that they can think and anticipate play. So many guys in the khl and ahl are as talented but just can't think and react as fast

Yeah I don’t know this crap doesn’t impress me. Hockey players are super accessible on Long Island whether in any rink on Long Island (more so in the past I can speak of) or out in restaurants, clubs, or bars. I’ve been on the ice or hung out randomly with Rangers and Islanders over the years. I’m not friends or buddy’s with any of them but I have some pretty funny/crazy stories over the years and I would imagine most hockey fans on Long Island do also.

It’s (frank)ing desire. Every team is talented and the bottom line is playing structured and playing your game. Tonight the Isles did but didn’t finish when needed, clutters SH opportunity was a huge momentum changer.

They’re on a completely different level even the fringe NHL’ers routinely make the mens league best players look like idiots. It’s never close.

Exactly. I have played with several NHLers, many AHLers etc. The most talented goalie and forward I played with never played in either of those leagues. But those pros have the gift of repitition in every sutuation and know exactly when and how to react

Yup I had the fortune of reffing the b sens during the lockout and 21 were nhlers and it was a whole different world compared to the highest Jr and college games I have done. I mean it wasn't even the same game out there

Check out the players that were out there especially in net
