Yes, that was a complete game by the Leafs. Most games they look good for a period or maybe 2 but at least on period they look bad. That’s what scares me. One bad period can lose you a game. - rSole
I’m sure not looking forward to playing any of those undefeated teams in the playoffs.
All teams have flaws. I haven’t checked but I wonder how many periods they’ve been out scored this season.
The next few games will tell us a lot about this team.

You missed the point. Leafs have a tendency to not only lose a period but stop competing altogether. I don’t expect them to dominate every period all season. The problem with the Leafs right now is their play is so inconsistent. They just stop doing all the things that make them successful. It’s not that they happen to get scores on, they just look like complete poop for long parts of almost every game. Last game just highlighted their issue.

Isn't it the baby of gospel and blues? Elements of country may have combined with black music, but country itself is still white as hockeybuzz. - Zezel
Let’s just say all that music merged together and anybody growing up around Memphis was hugely influenced by country music.
Also, the difference between the poop being played commercially now and what was being made earlier is huge. Patsy Cline, Hank (frank)ing Williams, etc.
In terms of black musicians, there’s a great tradition of black country (mostly bluegrass) music that was shut out of Nashville (shocking). If interested, listed to Rhiannon Giddens and one of her bands, The Carolina Chocolate Drops who are playing a lot of the old music, using traditional instruments.
I went through about 3 years where all I listened to was country (mostly bluegrass) and jazz - not sure where that came from.

I didn’t miss the point, I just disagree. I didn’t see them lose that many periods. I saw them play some boring hockey at times when they were winning. They oft3n extended their lead as the other team pressed and their skilled guys were able to take advantage.
Again, I don’t assume these trends might not collapse ar any point but I have seen more positives. I guess the record has been kind of an accident.
There is alot of 80's Oilers in this incarnation of the Leafs... short of Semenko and McSorley..
They just know most nights they can turn on the burners and simply overwhelm teams offensively... I'll never forget what Wayne said after the Isles smoked them... instead of celebrating he walked by and Tonelli and Nystrom etc all had bruises and ice packs all over....
Wouldn't hurt this team to have a little of Anderson (Glenn) - Krusher - McTavish sprinkled in.

Definitely lots of positives about this team. But you can’t ignore their glaring weakness right now. Consistent compete level. The goal this year to is to win the cup. Teams that have a chance to win the cup can’t have the lapses the Leafs have.
It’s ok to point out the weakness in their game. I’m sure Keefe sees it the same way. Identify your weakness so you can correct n and improve. Let’s hope they learned a big lesson from last game.

Yeah, Carolina Chocolate Drops! Forget about them, I've heard them. And yeah, it's all about the old country.

Yeah. They look off. Hyman looks noticeably off. He usually has energy and wins battles. Lots of game left. Just. . . no one looks like they're engaged.
