They're a possession team. They're not going to give away the puck on bad looks and low percentage shots, not until they have to anyways (down late in the game).

Oh wait, (frank)ing trade everyone.

How can they call that "no goal?"

What's wrong with pushing the goalie into the net?

Snowflakes.

If he didn't want to be pushed into the net, he'd be stronger.

There's a law in Canada that you must sleep in the same room as the newborn before games?

There was a goal a few years ago where Malkin pushed Riemer’s pad and the puck went in. The refs called it a goal and said that he was going for the puck.

So why wasn’t this a goal?

Brutal first.

Freddy keeping them in it, but not real busy.

You would think willy would be more engaged after being compared to a piece of cheap furniture.

He hasn’t let in a bad goal if that’s what you mean?

I think overall the Leafs are competing just fine, but are a little out of sync. Definitely something wrong with JT. He made 3 bad passes into his wingers skates.

I expect a better 2nd period.

I thought of that exact play when I saw that goal. Thought it would count forsure.

The rule is you can't push a goalie who,has the puck covered into the net. The puck wasn't covered nor was the goalie pushed into the net.

Refs blew it.

Totally, I think they thought the goalie had it under the pad and Thornton pushed the pad in because he was behind the play. 99% of the time the refs will call it a goal because it crosses the line and then the review will take a closer look, but for some reason the refs have been extremely confident in being wrong this year.
