I think MM’s success will depend on his employment (obviously) Sid’s line is a monster possession line. Whenever MM has looked good and been skating and making plays was with Sid. That’s where he needs to stay.

First shift him and Rust had a tight 2v1 at the blue line for a zone entry and he shoves it into the Dman's feet instead of putting it off the boards for Rust to chase down.


Then at the end of the shift he had a terrible turnover in the neutral zone that led to a good chance lol

Matheson has chemistry with Sidney Crosby. Or maybe he still sucks and Sid’s just that great. But either way it doesn’t matter. If you’re getting these kinds of results from Matheson and Sid isn’t being brought down by him, he should be glued to Sid.
