Speaking of guys with Russian sounding names who didn't work out for the Pens, does anyone know how common the surname Plotnikov is? I see that there are just under 56,000 in the world, mostly in Russia. Anyway, a couple/few years ago I sold a new snowboard jacket on eBay to an exporter in Delaware but the customer's name was Sergei Plotnikov (often the exporter's customer is the addressee). Probably a long shot, but that would be pretty cool if it was the same guy. I know Sergei is common, but the combination of the two? Probably not so much.
