ZAR must of lost weight. He's definitely skating better than we've ever seen from him.
- madmike71

They mentioned in the broadcast he looks leaner in person. Good start of the season for ZAR.

He's a much more active player this season. Quicker to the puck. Tougher in the corners.
- madmike71

He looks like a completely different player to me. I hope he breaks Wilson's jaw with a hit.

He said he had a hesitation to board play and high contact play due to his shoulder.

I almost feel bad trashing him the last couple of years. Almost. Should have gotten that shoulder fixed sooner.

Nice to see a grudge match brewing here. An undisciplined Islanders team is a losing team.

Hope he can stay healthy for once. Combine health with better conditioning and it's intriguing to see what ZAR can do.

A bunch of us end up having a wrong opinion about a trade and it's really not a big deal. Seriously no idea why you're so upset over it.

It does change the outlook of the team. But it's going to take more for me. Great game for him tonight.

I'm not upset

Matheson has been sh1t on by just about everybody for 6 months and 4 games

If he actually turns it around, what are we (not all of us) going to do with ourselves?

Which, in all fairness, is a complete tire fire and deserves to be poop on.

What if GMJR's plan, once Matheson worked out, was to make the trade of a defenseman for an EPIC 3C that would not only make that line roll, but put Blueger/Tanev/ZAR back on the 4th line, that would really be like having 2 3rd lines

What if the smart play was to EXTEND GMJR and not have him quit in disgust???

Meh... I think this team needed a fresh set of eyes anyway. I think most people were grossed out by MM's contract. Extreeeeemly risky. Frankly it still is. You can't sign JJ for 5 fvcking years and not wonder if the old man has lost it.

Glad he's looking pretty good so far. Ceci looks pretty good too.

I was one of the few here who believed Matheson would fit in well. The guy can skate well and gets to pucks quickly.

Let’s not jinx it lol

Even Ceci has been average.

Hey I said to give him a chance as well. Also ceci has been above average. I’m quite impressed with him, and I hope MM keeps up this swagger.

I'm happy to eat crow. Ceci has been awesome. MM has been great the last three games. If he can keep it up the Pens are in a great situation to bolster this lineup.

Anybody rocking a home gym setup? Looking to get a rack and some weights once I finish/organize my garage.

just getting caught up. I have a pretty substantial home gym. Are you hunting some advice?

Did not see that coming.

Like most here, I've been critical of Matheson, Zucker, and Jarry and all 3 played well tonight.

A NASA Rover landed on Mars today and the Penguins played a 60 minute hockey game... one of these events is more improbable than the other and I'm thinking its the latter.

Got to get these points versus the Islanders and Capitals. Likely two of us will make iand the other will miss the playoffs. Which is stupid that the Canada division gets 4 and we get 4. The Canada division is a joke.

It's very hard to do this year. Especially next game seems like it's gonna be very chippy. Islanders seem annoyed.
- 668710

This is when I wish we had a big ogre we could trot out on the 4th line. Not like it would make that much difference anyway.

I think the Isles are a bottom half team. If they make the playoffs I think it's because of Trotz. Just not enough firepower.

Ceci covered Marino’s ass a number of times last night.
