What's the deal with Galchenyuk? When is he expected to play?

He can't hockey right now. His passing sucks. His puck-handling sucks.

This is also how I feel. It looks like I'm crusading against him because I don't like him - but that is absolutely not the case. I very much like Tavares and want him to do well, but he's simply not. Did he not recover properly from the hand injury last year? Is something else wrong? Is the weight of the captaincy not something he wants in Toronto? I don't know. But I absolutely agree with you: something is not right.

I would imagine that the idea is to have him on the taxi squad practicing with the team a bit to learn the group and the system before they insert him into a game - unless injuries dictate otherwise.

not the worst idea... If Campbell is still week to week.. Comrie might be worth a shot

It is very simple.
Tavares has to constantly think defense first because he's got Willie "I don't backcheck" Nylander on his line.
It's tough getting some offense if there's only 2 out of 3 players on the forward line that have to make sure no goals are scored against.

I think they have some good pieces in place to contend, but outside of Matthews and Marner and well, Hyman.. (you're welcome Max) everyone else has been inconsistent.

I am saying that when Nylander is completely disengaged, it affects Tavares, just a guess.

The primary problems with this team have to do with the give a poop meter.
