Flames do not have each other's back right now ... there is no fight in their game. It was sad to see Lindholm after he got elbowed... no one even moved a finger after that. Chucky is a completely different player... if he is this offended by whatever was said in the POM, then maybe he should not be in NHL. Like seriously Chucky, play your game... this is your team. He is the only guy who puts a fight in this team... and with him being invisible... it's just sad to see this team play. Yeah, I did see Ritchie... he was definitely their best player today and the only one really hitting.

I really don't know about this team... I think if they fail this year... we should expect major changes including Trev, Ward, core players, etc... Let's see if they can turn things around, but the way they are playing, they are only playing for themselves... not for each other and this is not a team that is a threat to anyone. I'm pretty sure we will get blown out by Ottawa the way they are playing.

The only guy who even went up to Edler after that was Chucky - I mean, Lindy held his own and laid some hits afterwards, but it's just... it's not healthy in that room. And sorry to say it, I feel like it's been that way under Gio's captaincy.

It's so sickening to watch this team's Jekyll and Hyde performance, game after game.

There's no consistent team effort and that's as much on coaching staff as it is on the players.

It's exhausting to watch this team flounder from management down.

I'm guessing that the players don't have faith in each other or in coaching or management and that's at least part of why the disjointed effort is what we keep seeing.

At the start of the season, I had high hopes after seeing what Ward had done with the team in the bubble (minus the Game 6 debacle against the Stars) and hearing his plans for Lindholm and Bennett. The psychotic line juggling throughout the first quarter of the season tells me that either Ward is being given directives by Tre on the lines, or that Ward really doesn't have a clue what he's doing out there.

I've been a Flames fan since they moved to Calgary, but maybe I'll take a break until the Kraken enter the league - they'll stand a better chance of putting together a competitive team than what we're witnessing (and have witnesses since the Cup run in '04).
