They can win the next 5 and it will not change the my opinion they have major flaws still.

It’s not like they blew a 5-1 leads against a great team like Boston. They blew it to the worst team in the league.

Embarrassing.

That would be the Canucks...

When your team puts up five and you fail to make a couple saves you should have, then you are the problem.

How many times are we going to see games like this from Ander7en.

- Aetherial

He did make some saves tho.

Two breakaway goals, he should be expected to make one.. The other goals werent hs fault but couldve found a way to save one of them.

Its just a bad game overall, im sure freddy will take the blame for the loss. It was a team loss. Some bad luck, bad D, and subpar goaltending.

Freddys confidence is frail

Fans are on him hard....maybe not as deserving as we think. But he isn’t a goalie I’m confident in putting a string of 7-8 games of solid play.

- Santo_44

And that's why he's not elite.

I think Andersen is a good goalie. A bit better than league average since he's been here; legit starter. But not elite. He's just not consistent enough for that. Never has been, never will.

Campbell needs to make some starts, give this guy some nights off, and give us some options again.

All of the goals came from terrible defensive awareness and were all high quality chances.

He shouldve made a couple more saves for sure, but to pin this all on Freddy is idiotic.

- Arctic_AARDVARK

Highlights looked like that to me but they don’t paint a full picture

It isn't the 7 or 8 game consistency in the regular season. I have pretty much given up on them winning a playoff series with this guy. His playoff choking is legendary.

Then what do we do, sign him again and expect something will change?

Have the Leafs traded for a good goalie yet? Can’t wait until Campbell comes back.

give it a rest man, you're bipolar.

3 hours ago you were saying he's been good, because he has.

Oh the Leafs mailed that in. Like I said, 100% team effort at being terrible that 3rd period. But a veteran NHL starter has to close out a 5-1 game. That's enough against a low-scoring team like the Sens.

How come you aren't around when your team is playing like the pooptiest team in the league, then a Leafs joke, and a Canucks win and here you are again.
- Aetherial

The Canucks I’ve seen 1 game out of the last 9. All I know is they sucked & gifted horrible turnovers. Deserving of a 7-11 record. Also they played the most games & don’t get ppd games for covid.

Next time Nylander hits one of his lucky 2-game streaks where floating around works, it's time to sell high. He's an embarrassment every time he hits the ice.

thats the nature of the game.

Not one comment from you and the other derps about how terrible the Leafs D was in the third.

The first backhand went short side and hit the middle of the back of the net.... so that was some bad goaltending. Dumb turnover on the 2nd...... After that he needs to make a big save here and again.

It is never ALL on the goalie, but it can definitely be the deciding factor. An NHL goalie has to stop most high-quality chances. If the other goalie play that way, the Leafs would have had 10.

He's lucky the Leafs lost like they did to distract from his terrible play recently.

Exactly. Win all you want in the regular season but he can’t stop the puck when it matters the most.

Go all the way back to game 1 OT loss to Washington 4 years ago. He lets in a softie to lose the game. Leafs win that and they could have been up 3-0 on the Caps.

Next year game 7 against Boston. Gardiner gets all the blame but Freddie was awful. Game 7 against Boston the next year same thing.

Last year game 5 against Columbus he lets in the weak goal by Foudy. I turned the game off after that as I knew exactly what was happening.

Leafs will never have post season success as long as he is their starter.

I knew it had to be something other than Freddy su3king.

Leafs lost cause Rielly hit a leg on an open net, then decided tp pressure the puck carrier giving up a breakaway.

All of the goals freddy allowed were terrible defensive coverage. He clearly lost confidence.

Agree. That tying goal was not on the goaler... That was the defence and forwards...
