They'll win the next two. - Zezel
They can win the next 5 and it will not change the my opinion they have major flaws still.
It’s not like they blew a 5-1 leads against a great team like Boston. They blew it to the worst team in the league.
Embarrassing. |

Long season boys. Leafs are going to take some nights off.
Leafs win Wednesday night. - bryant
Those are games they need to win, just so bad . Not just Andersen, but he isn't the long term answer |

And I don't care what excuse AA has. That game is ALL on Freddy. - Barb34
It wasn't all freddy.
The team is soft.
Freddy wasnt good, he was really bad but this team is cocky and packs it in at times. |

The last 2 games has shown this team has many issues. Heart, determination and toughness are all at the top of the list. - rSole
With all due respect, this entire season has shown serious flaws. The Leafs have been outplayed and outworked for the majority of their games. An unsustainable power play and AM34 playing Hart level hockey has made up for some seriously lackluster consistency.
Imagine this team played with the tenacity and desire of OTT or MTL? |

up 5-1 and they find a way to blow it.
Dubas has to make a trade.
I thought they solved their issues, but they havent.
Main issue is compete. Cant have guys disappearing for weeks and not doing jack poop while taking up a large part of the cap. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Does that include the goalie or no? Just for clarity. |

Main issue is they can't trust their goalie, imho. - 21peter
no denying he shouldve been better. he lost confidence as the game went on.
But terrible defensive play in front of him. All the goal came from high quality chances. |

Gotta admit, end of that game Matthews looked like he didn’t want to play anymore. Not skating back hard at all. He’s my boy but that can’t happen.
Freddie is garbage. He out garbaged a (frank)ing AHL goalie tonight.
This team deserved to lose, us Leafs fans deserve better. |

This is why you dont want players like Nylander..
just another pathetic effort tonight. When the game starts to get tough, he's invisible. Just bench him for the rest of the game. - Arctic_AARDVARK
This is the most lame attempt I have seen you at deflecting and that is saying something. He is actually playing semi solid defensively and they have had a few good offensive chances....
But hell we know nothing about hockey Hahahahahahahahahahahhahhhah

Marner good

Teams win and lose together. But if you were doing the 3 Stars for Ballsuckage tonight, it was Freddy.

Relax. - gravyface
He's not wrong. I mean, he's wrong about Freddie being a legit Cup contending goalie, but this seriously lacks compete. They are not a "hard" team to play against.
We need Simmonds back and we need (frank)ing truculence. |

Fell asleep again like Saturday night, but this time Freddie didn't put up any saves when they needed them. 100% team effort at being terrible for a period again.
Still, whatever. They're still on top of the league. Even bottom feeders can put together a solid period and turn a game around in this league at any given time. |
