I guess Dubas didn't think too highly of Korshkov?
- gergeswillems

He was #9 in MiB's top40. That sounds like close to elite

So a bold prediction here: Galchenyuk will be putting up more points on Matthews' / Tavares' line than Nylander.

Well..... Ummm sure ok. Good luck with that.

That would entail him putting up more pts than he ever has, and in case you haven't noticed he's been trending down lately.

And if he does then I guess trading for a guy making a mil who then goes on to put up 7mil worth of pts would mean the leafs just made the best trade in history.

I don't get this from a cap perspective, he makes 1m, wouldn't have that been better used at the deadline for a good player ?

I’m feeling broken. Six straight long days of demo in prep for floors. And that’s just the upper floor. Egads. 20,000 trips up and down stairs.
Prime rib on the rotisserie, beers and a hockey game.

Put him on the taxi squad, and his cap comes off the books.

Muzzin and Campbell are both playing and providing positive results, lets wait to see where he finds himself and if he's even going to be playing let alone contributing before we start proclaiming things, ok.

Why the (frank) would Dubas trade Korshkov for a player who was on waivers for free?

I like that you're slowly walking back all the endless dumping you took on Dubas and taking gigantic reaches to give him a little credit.. Now that the team is doing well. People like you said that could never happen, it's good you realize that tone needs to shift🤣

Galchenyuk also hasn’t left Canada so he doesn’t have to go through quarantine. He’s just more depth. Don’t hate it, and don’t love it.

I think the fact that he was big in a sea of midgets we drafted.

But we got an NHLer player for a prospect that's not ready and may never play as many games as Gal. That's really all there is to it.

Last couple of years, some of you were very high on Andreas Johnsson. He's got a 3mnl AAV and is half the player Galchenyuk is.
I'm quite confident this will pan out a great trade.

Galchenyuk - Matthews - Marner
Hyman - Tavares - Nylander
Kerfoot - Thornton - Mikheyev
Engvall - Spezza - Simmonds
