You left Seabass, Hrdina and Abid off there? Shameful.

What about Doug Murray, aka "Crankshaft"?? And Steve McKenna ... along with this grandmother.

There were so many true drafted busts from the Shero era on the blue line I couldn’t even get into the complete flop acquisitions like Crank, Michalek, and Ehrhoff.

I don't think Kovalev gets talked about enough. His hands and wrist shot are amongst the best of all time.
- Rinosaur

His hands are probably only second to Datsyuk imo.

Yes, Datsuyk hands down the best, and I agree Kovy right behind him.

Feels like a three way tie between Big Dawg, Bennett, and Pesonen.

We at least got Kunitz with Tangradi. Bennett is by far the most disappointing. He had skills but was made of glass lol.

Well, this thread topics escalated quickly. You're welcome!! Current roster stinks, so what else are we going to talk about, right?

There were two separate instances where Beau had really figured it out and was breaking out and then just got an absolutely devastating injury. Last straw was when Kapanen clipped him in practice at the end of a promising preseason and sent him out for months. By the time he got back, the WB5 had cemented their roles into the stretch and he basically never played again.

How long does it take for the owners to watch both players sink this team before they change their mind on each retiring a Penguin?
- 123Kid

I've heard two Burke interviews in the last couple of days. He was asked point blank "who's untouchable on this team?" The only name he said was Sid. Yes, it was obvious he knew what he was saying about Geno and Letang.

He was asked another question about the future. He said something about trying to get this team to win this season, but basically said next season there will be changes. Intimating substantial changes.

I'm convinced they'll nibble around the edges with a fringe addition or two, but won't go "all in" like Rutherford would. The more I watch this team, the more this makes sense.

I'm no longer convinced Geno or Letang will play out their contracts with the Penguins. It doesn't help that they're playing like complete sh!t. Dumpster fire stuff at times.
