No I think we just need to construct another bottom 6 line really. We know ZAR-Blue-Tanev and Guentz-Sid-Rust are good. Can Geno's line get it together is a question and obviously the other line is horsepoop. - 668710
I feel like Geno needs at the very least one new winger. |

What do you think Yzerman wants for those 2. Pettersson and what else? - 668710
Legare or Poulin. |

Not sure really. I like the idea because LD is the weakest position in the org for Detroit but apparently the idea of moving Fabbri is a tough pill to swallow for some even though there’s a plethora of forward talent on the way.
I’d be cool with Fabbri and Ryan for Pettersson, 2022 3rd, and 2021 7th. |

It does suck they moved Rust up with Sid because now Sid has both our bet goal scoring wingers. |

Here’s a pre draft report on Fabbri:
He was on his way to being a star player before two major knee injuries derailed his career for a bit. He’s definitely overcome that and is still a good player. - Feds91Stammer
It's coming back to me now. I thought he was a wing?

Played center in juniors. Was a winger in St. Louis and last season. Been at center this year. He can play both. |

Why do you hate to say it? Dude is terrible and everyone knew that coming into the season. - j.boyd919
I meant because I never wanted to pine for a guy like Garnet Hathaway.... but I'd much rather someone like that than Colton bleepin Sceviour. |

Just get Tatar. Bergevin has doubled down on the stupidity of his scratching. - Feds91Stammer
What would it cost to get Tatar? I can't imagine he's cheap. And we'd have to move salary.... Pettersson? |
|
|
|
Regarding Fabbri...shouldn't we basically call him Robby Galchenyuk at this point? |

At this point wouldn’t he be? He keeps getting scratched everywhere he goes and doesn’t have a small cap hit. |

Why would you do that for a guy who's consistently putting up ~30 points a season and isn't a living suit case? |

His line sucks this year too. Only a 70.4% xGF |

If MTL wants to just dump Tatar that would be an excellent acquisition for us. |

Yea that's why I find it harder to get Tatar. Our best way to move salary is LD. Unless they wanna do a Zucker/Tatar swap. But I'd rather try and keep our wingers. |

Really I think MTL had just lost 3 out of 4 and they didn’t know who to scratch to send a message. But what Julien and Bergevin have said about the scratching make no sense. |

They have no LW depth so I could see a swap like that being of interest. Problem is while Tatar is a small upgrade over Zucker it doesn’t really help the depth issue. |

Also Tatar is a rental so considering the assets spent to get Zucker you would assume a Tatar extension would need to happen. |

Regardless of Geno this team needs to add a quality top-nine winger. I personally don't think Geno needs a winger. The only player who can help Geno is Geno IMO. Getting back to playing like himself is all that matters. Say what you will about Zucker and Kap, but he's done more with less. |

You also have to realize Geno is in a decline stage of his career so his supporting cast is more important than ever, both in stylistic fit and overall skill. |
