This is literally a 180 from last game. - Rinosaur
That whole line needs to shoot. First shift of the game, Zucker has a wide open lane to shoot and clanks one off of Geno's ankle trying to give him the puck. |

Which is more shocking: Blueger has more points than Malkin or ZAR already has as many goals? |

Letang and Malkin are just killing this team. There's nothing for Hextall to fix this season if those two don't get their heads out of their asses. |

I don't think it's time to blow it up. They just need to make very calculated moves. I just wouldn't go for rentals this year. |

Can't disagree.
Only one game so far where we've given up less than 3 goals. |

Mark Madden said the Pens were offered Barkov for Malkin. I tuned in at the very end so I didn't hear the context. I'm assuming it was before this season but not sure. - madmike71
I can 100% see this being true. There was a ton of smoke around the time of the Rutherford resigning about Malkin or Letang being moved. Everyone knows Malkins wife lives in Miami full time all year so I could see it being 1 of the only places Malkin would go. It’s been reported quite a few times the media doesn’t see Barkov staying in Flordia and he has a NMC as well which could be why Florida would do this trade and at least get a superstar back to compete now.
Just guessing because Malkin does not look hurt or out of shape at all to me and hasn’t all year in my opinion, he just looks like he doesn’t have the motivation right now and this could be partly why. |

I think the COVID protocol takes the fun away for many player. Malkin specifically I think is the least thrilled and just uninterested in this format. The whole team hated the bubble last year and didn’t show up. This is just my theory.

Yup. Caps played very well, but the Pens should be embarrassed at that. |

I mean if that's the case with Geno and he really wants to play where his family lives I can't blame him. I'd miss him for sure but if he does wanna go and we get Barkov I'd be ok with it. But still would suck. Barkov at least takes some sting away. |

I personally dont think Malkin wants to leave and I dont think he will get traded either but that situation with his wife not living with him all year always made me think it could happen sometime. A huge IF it was Malkin with salary retained for Barkov would be a huge win for the penguins at this point in there careers. Lots of people think Barkov is the better player straight up currently over Malkin and hes 25 compared to Malkin at 34.
In saying all this, it isnt gonna happen and I do hope Malkin retires as a penguin. (unless someone completely overpays in a big way.....)

How long does it take for the owners to watch both players sink this team before they change their mind on each retiring a Penguin? |
