Agreed and its interesting. In the end, its only a sport. Even the definition of sport is challenged by some. There are people that believe that the activity depicted in this video is a great sport worth watching. This is evidenced by the large audience.

Like every player drafted and developed by the Leafs. You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain...and then have great success elsewhere.

I forgot about the big hero Jiri Tlusty.
Cant part with Willy even though the Leafs have 3 first rounders they drafted who are 10x better than Willy could ever hope to be.

It's a generation of Leafs fans who grew up cheering on Roberts, and Tucker and other guys who battled every game. Going from that standard to whatever it is Nylander does out there is a shock. - Arctic_AARDVARK
This! Surprised you didn’t mention Clarke. We need a few guys like this on this soft team. Do Leaf fans not remember those battles with the Sens? They were the more talented and flashy team. Great regular seasons but the Leafs always knocked them out in the first round. Why? Leafs were far less talented. But had more heart, grit, toughness and yes bloody hell hit every player in sight. I love our talent right now but we need to either start putting on big boy pants or start acquiring more heavy hardened players. Or we will continue to lose in the playoffs to lesser team like Columbus and likely the Habs this year. (If things don’t change)
I do like Nylander but he disappears when things get tough. He is soft. I wish he could change but I am starting to have my doubts. Imagine this team with Josh Anderson instead of Nylander. Montreal declines that trade now. Columbus likely would have given us Anderson and a 2nd for Willy. Hindsight.
I'm unsure why everyone wants players traded who have flaws in their game. Every team has them, even the winning teams do.
Penguins had Kessel and people here said you can't win with a guy like that.
Nylander isn't the driver of the team. Matthews/Marner/JT are. Nylander is a guy who is to do his job and be a threat to the opposition when you're trying to defend JT/matthews and marner.

Simmonds and Thornton are not currently in the line up. Cant say we are soft when the bigger guys are injured.

So you move out 60-70 point Willy, who replaces him? Why would a team hypothetically trade for this wussy scumbag who sucks? Why trade a tough scoring asset for him? Are we going for defense? What's the plan other than to complain he doesn't play like Iginla?

If you were a manly man you’d understand. Nylander isn’t Tie Domi, ‘nuff said

Potential trades arise, Anderson would've been a great trade.
Willys value will never be higher than it is, or was last year. I wouldn't rule out a defenseman, but ideally a winger who could add toughness and able to play on the second line would be better. We need more players who will battle, idk why thats such a foreign concept for so many Leafs fans. So many fans now days dont understand the fundamentals to the game. They just pick a player, and dont care about the teams success.

This fact can not be disputed by anyone that understand hockey.

Cool. So who do you trade him for, who replaces him and why does the other teams who obviously understand the fundamentals of hockey like you do and not we mortal morons do this trade?
