The Nylander haters have had their narrative blown apart, but they are the QAnoners of Leaf fans, beyond reach.
- Zezel

Branch Nylandians are the Jim Jones followers of today, The Willys Temple, lmao.

Every single hockey analyst talks about his shortcomings, especially the ones who have played hockey, or were GM's/coaches.

The miscommunication is on your end. You don't want to hear what we're actually saying. You and the other Willy stans don't see the whole picture. You don't want to admit that hockey is more than just scoring goals, which he hasn't been doing.

You and i both know the your day of reckoning is coming. The day that a million Nylanderps are going to have to cheer for another team, because you're just billeting with the Leafs temporarily. The Willy experiment failed, the same thing keeps happening. Dubas got hoodwinked.

Someday you Nylanderthals will go extinct because you're the lesser species. You'll be just another casualty of Darwinism.

Just a suggestion that the best response to the someone saying you’ve become Q-like in your talk about Nylander is not to say the the day of reckoning is coming.

Lol what. Who here has never acknowledged his shortcoming?

It's hilariously ironic you talk about nylanders not wanting to acknowledge his shortcomings (which is fake news), yet the haters refuse to acknowledge what he does.

Take a look in the mirror.

saturday during first period I already pointed out that Willie was floating again, and that he should be benched.
he had 1 good shift that whole game.
it was not until the third period that some on here started to agree with me that willie was playing lousy again.
willie is a master of shifting a problem to fellow teammates - in particular when leaving the d-zone, if there is some pressure from the opponent, he tends to circle back, and pass the puck of to a defenseman -- leaving that d-man with the problem of being pressured even more and needing to find a solution to not lose the puck in leafs d-zone, with willie floating off somewhere in neutral zone.

leafs should trade nylander while he still has some good value -- i.e. this season.

Geez - Wash, rinse and repeat in here.

Nylander scores two goals tonight and you guys will quit your b1tching for another week before ramping it up again.

Every aspect of his game is selfish.

My favourite is when he pulls up and just turns the puck over when theres a guy like 3-4 strides away.

Yeah that won't stop it.

He scored over 30 last year, still hear it all the time. He lead the league in goals from 5 feet of the net but still he's perimeter willy.

It's a generation of Leafs fans who grew up cheering on Roberts, and Tucker and other guys who battled every game. Going from that standard to whatever it is Nylander does out there is a shock.

They also watched Belfour (and previously Curtis Joseph) steal games on the regular.

Maybe you just answered your own questions on why Andersen gets so much hate?

Willie has 12 points so far this season, yet there are obvious holes in his game. His twelve points ties him with guys like Sid Crosby, Elias Pettersson, Blake Wheeler, Nick Suzuki, Aleksander Barkov. (25 players tied for 41st in scoring) He is a point ahead of a few players such as Jack Eichel, but it is early, we are dealing with a small sample size for this season. I would expect that based on past performances Leafs can expect him to score 50 points with about 15 to 20 goals. He will likely be a plus despite being on the power play so even though he will not have many hits, he will be strong in take aways and be a solid top six performer in this league. He will continue to have excellent trade value. I cannot predict any of this with accuracy but my experience and education in actuarial mathematics gives me confidence that unless there is a paradigm shift in his production or circumstances such as an injury to him or JT my prediction will be reasonably accurate. I cannot categorize those that want him off the Leafs at any cost in terms of intellegence, political leaning or value to humanity, because this remains a sport and if we had prior knowledge of sporting results our disposable income could be very significant.

And those teams had Mats as their only 30 goal scorer (I think except when Mogilny did it once). If you can’t see that you need a mix of skill sets and that a Matthews that combines a bunch comes along very infrequently I don’t know what to say to you.

Agreed and its interesting. In the end, its only a sport. Even the definition of sport is challenged by some. There are people that believe that the activity depicted in this video is a great sport worth watching. This is evidenced by the large audience.

Exactly my point. They knew their roles, and won through will and determination.

Leafs dont need a 2nd line floater making 7mil when they already have a wealth of talent.
