He’s gone in the off-season. Robertson will take his place on the Tavares’ left wing. That will give the Leafs the cap room to re-sign Hyman and still improve the bottom-6.

Well we have to trade a moveable contract so it is probably Willie. Matthews is by far our best player and I don't think too many teams would take on Tavares or Marner's deals

Marner is tied with Kane for 3rd in overall scoring, do you think that the Predators would rather have 23 year old Marner and his salary instead of 8 point 30 year old Matt Duchene and -9. How about Chicago Kane? Toews? How about 28 year old Skinner at 9 million for max length contract with one assist this year. Big list!

Just maybe most teams would drool at the prospect of getting Marner.

Max is annoying as hell and over the top like AA and Santo but they all have some semi valid points.

Except for Matthews I would say he adds the most value to the Leafs above and beyond his point totals. (not sure I am clear hear) I guess what I am saying is that more than any other skater on the Leafs except Matthews he brings the most to the Leafs above and beyond his point total. I think Brodie is a close second.

I agree with all of what you said except the reference to valid points from the first two of that group. Santo has the odd hit, the other two are a waste of bandwidth. 🤣

I didn't think I'd say it ever because I was not a fan of the Thornton experiment out of the gate, but the way it all came together leads me to believe the leafs are incredibly dangerous with him in the lineup. 3 lines that are miserable to contain, two of which will bury the puck if you let your guard down for a second. A decent 4th line to boot. 👍
