I agree. Fault the team for not playing to their fullest, it was clear they didn't do enough to win, but to start preaching they need to change the makeup of the team while they're still 1st in the standings is a joke.

It's the parade of degenerates rushing in here after every Leafs loss, when we're still tops in the league while they're at the bottom... it's a bit much.

Yes.

Leafs dominated first period, but hits were a million to 1.... But somehow with all that hitting the leafs still controlled and dominated the game. They couldn't put it all together and build the lead.


They didn't get beat down.

Who said they need to change the makeup of the team? They need to play with more determination and toughness. And yes, hitting plays a roll in that. Habs pinches all game knowing they wouldn’t get it. They would go hard to the corners because again, no fear of getting hit. They go to the net hard because.... no fear of getting hit.

A ref'st style also influences the game. The Leafs had so many power plays the other day. Tonight it seemed like there was a bit more clutch and grab allowed. Doesn't suit the Leafs style.
