Hell!. Now they will have to keep him!

However, if NYR gives us Kakko and ADA and a 4th......I'll think about it

Only if the plan is to retain salary on ADA and flip him.

Nice coaching Blash. Gonna face a surprising Chicago team Monday night. If they can go 2 in a row it will be an accomplishment! Chicago won tonight

Third period thoughts are up. Get your curly fries tomorrow!

Third period and game wrap up- Detroit scored 4, more than double its average GPG. Each goal was meaningful. Glendening returns and scores, also assists on Erne’s first since 2019. Fabbri keeps showing what a nice pickup he is. Mantha, who’s been working hard all over, shoots a beautiful wrister on the rush. When the big man is on top of his game, he looks huge out there. Nashville opened the flood gates getting 13 shots to Detroit’s six. Bernier held up his end of the deal. Detroit was physical and showed a big commitment to the defensive side of the puck. The third period was more of a “hold on” type period. I’ve been critical of Blashill, but the team defense in the past couple has been much better. There was an obvious turn in commitment, and I’ll tip my hat to the coach. The players are skating harder and clogging up shooting lanes. Much better look tonight. So, go get your free curly fries (if you’re near a participating Arby’s). They actually make a pretty good Reuben too. I fondly remember that Arby’s was the ONLY fast food restaurant my stepdad would eat at. Literally. He liked the roast beef. I do to. Hopefully the deli counter in heaven serves up something good. Enjoy the win tonight. Many things came together. The power play still has not. Better looks for sure, but still needs to connect.

That was a beautiful goal. Tip of the cap for the kid for not doing a big celly. He understood the game situation. Very impressive

That’s brutal. There’s one near Lansing that serves venison. I have no idea how they facilitate that. I haven’t tried it. I just can’t. Venison stew or chili, all day long. Fast food venison, cold day in hell. (Not Hell, MI which is quite cold right now)

All of a sudden these free agent "rentals' Stevie picked up for free are starting to click. Staal seems to just be getting better. Merrill is using his size / strength along the boards. Stecher also seems to be skating well. Gotta love that Fabbri pickup... huge difference for this team when he's in the lineup... Still waiting for Brome to heat up and pot a few goals.

The goaltending hasn't been an issue... it's the lack of scoring that's hurting this team. Poor Greiss... he deserves a lot more wins. I still prefer him being the starter as of this time. But let's see who is more consistent of the duo and go from there.

I agree. I was just reading about Vancouver’s issues. A team that just seemed loaded for bear last year. They players aren’t “clicking” as fast as they want them to be. In reality, in a normal year, you’d be in the second set of 10 games. Nobody would be panicking about a slow start. Detroit needs time for players to get to know each other. Players shook of rust for a while. Merrill, he is tough for sure. Stecher has been making plays. Staal, for sure has been better. Larkin looks faster each game. You can tell when he’s on the ice, he just explodes. The Fabbri/Zadina/Ryan line was good the first few games and got sidelined. When Bertuzzi comes back, it will be another boost. This is still a bottom finish team, but they are playing with better structure. Blashill has put together a system that seems to be working. I probably owe him an apology or two
