Well...my uncle and aunt just lost their house because of a fire. Just got back from there. They are ok, but they lost everything. 2021 doesn't want to get outshine by 2020 I guess.

Stinger, sorry to read about your Aunt and Uncle's disaster. I know it's a small consolation, but while it sucks that they lost all of their material possessions, especially the stuff they can't replace, at least they're safe and sound, and have their close family and friends to help see them through the tough times.

I'm going there this afternoon. Couldn't really see much last night, but seeing that place like that is going to be a shock for sure. Both of them are in their seventies...I don't really know if they are going to rebuild to be honest.

Everyone would in that situation...Heck most of us feel completely useless with everything that's going on in the world these days...

When these things happens, I just think of people in Bosnia or Syria who had to leave overnight to not being killed and I tell myself that it is not the worst that can happen...

The other day, I stop at a bodyshop I was used to go and there was a new owner... The guy barely speaks english but I managed to understand that he lost his wife and 2 kids in a bombing in Syria and flew to Canada... He was trying to rebuild his life here...
