i still think kfc is the best but this was good chicken. i wish i'd tried some sides but i expected this to be terrible so i didn't order any. i thought this was gonna be a big fail.

one thing I'd really like to try is chicken and waffles, but it definitely seems to be more of a 'Murican thing than canadian, not many restaurants have that on their menu here

we don't really have it either. i know it's a thing in the south. possibly the only thing i may head that way to experience.

It's not really a southern thing. It's more of a thing out West rather than all of the country.

I just hope in most cases it's served with real maple syrup, not the aunt jemima's kind of thing.

speaking of, aunt jemima has been rebranded to "pearl milling company", wtf

Maple syrup will be awful for chicken and waffles.

The Aunt Jemima name change is old news. You'll always have Mrs. Butterworth's, which is the best non-Maple syrup.

Honey is better than syrup for fried chicken anyway.

Just like Pearl Jam.

But really, it's supposed to be the original name of the actual mill for the flour company that eventually made the syrup.

Kristin Kroepfl, chief marketing officer for Quaker Foods North America, told Fortune that the new name “reflects the dignity, the respect, and the warmth that we stand for.”

But it also appears to have been the safe choice, says Josh Gerben, an attorney specializing in trademark law: “There is no potential controversy with the name.”

a safe, boring AF choice lol.. and ironically we'll probably learn that this company name was once associated with slavery.

for a cheap syrup it ain't bad though. and besides why change the name, how could this sweet innocent face be offensive to anyone?

with a really nice crispy chicken, and thick fluffy AF waffles, I am 100% convinced it could only be a very enjoyable experience. the "sugar shacks" we have here that serve food are usually quite delicious, you can put that syrup on your eggs, bacon, breakfast sausages, pork rinds, basically anything on your plate, and it's just frickin' awesome lol

For pancakes and waffles, butter pecan syrup outdoes everything else. Even maple syrup.

meh, I'm not sure you guys have access to the kind of maple syrup I'm talking about. surely canada/quebec does export it to the US, but it probably isn't that common

With all the snowbirds down here, we get plenty of it. And get the different grades and colors with each grade. But it's not cheap as you could get it, that's for sure.
