All I’ve been listening to is predictions of their demise since 2013. It’ll happen eventually, but so many of you have Boston occupying far too much real estate in your heads. You make the same prediction of a team’s demise and it’s eventually going to happen in a hard cap world, but if anyone here says “I told you Boston was going to suck this year”, when they eventually do, will surely be called out for it.

Many of you are obsessed with the Boston Bruins. It’s literally the same thing you complain about when other teams score board watch hoping for a Leafs L. Only difference is we actually won something.

The amount of times I come in here and hear complaining about a regular season penalty called against the team the Bruins are playing, which this year literally has 0 effect of the Leafs, is crazy.

Oh, yay, it's the "real estate in your head" narrative again. Jesus, I think this is maybe the first time I've made a post about the Bruins being perennially successful and wishing they'd fall off their perch, but okay.

It sounds like, and excuse me if this is completely, utterly hypocritical but I can't resist the irony, this supposed cabal of Bruins-hating-Leafs fans are occupying some space in that head of yours too.

For the record: I don't hate the Bruins. I actually respect the club's success, my mother's favourite team is Boston, and I have some friends who are also fans.

God forbid I lament a team that has long stretches of winning ways while mine continuously struggles and can't make it out of the first round.

I guess I'm not quite as sensitive to the conspiratorial Bruins rhetoric in here as you probably are (it's not my team, right?). So fair enough!

I just looked at the standings and I was like: poop, the Bruins are still (frank)ing rocking it despite not even having Pasta to start the season. Will this team ever come back down to earth?

Never quite understood Bruins hate and, yeah, there are some calls that I obviously - as a Leafs homer - find questionable when we play your team. But I'm definitely not one who rabidly hates them...

Two quick points and then I am done:

- it’s not that the league favours the Bruins. It’s that the league for years has implemented an incredibly stupid standard for what is a penalty, and more importantly what is not a penalty. And the Bruins have built their team to take full advantage of it. Chara would get away with killing guys in front of the net on any team, but he played for the Bruins.

- it’s not like only Leafs fans are the ones who complain about the Bruins and poor officiating. It’s a league-wide whinge.

If the Leafs beat the Habs tonight it will show this team is finally legit. Habs will come out flying and hitting. They have a lot of pressure on them to break their skid. Leafs need to show up and match their intensity. Another loss to the Leafs and the Habs early season confidence will all be erased. They could be on the outside of a playoff spot by the end of this week.

Come on Leafs, please finally become the team we have been long waiting for!
