Feel like he’s better defensively than him but not nearly as good offensively
- Nucker101

Flies under the radar. If he was in Montreal or Toronto, he'd be the second coming. Steady and consistent and contributes offensively from time to time. Plays with an edge too.

That dman the Flames have in Andersson looks pretty good back there...
- LordHumungous

A lot of players are "looking pretty good" when they play against the Canucks. Spezza, Simmonds, Lucic, Kassian, the list goes on. Players careers are being revived due to how bad the Canucks are.

I thought Calgary deserved to win.

We had puck luck (to use a Tanner metric) but that was a piss poor effort.

If Spezza goes on waivers again Canucks should claim him just so he retires

No, he's genuinely "pretty good" and gets the big assignments. A rare, positive development story for the Flames.

- johnnykarate

Maybe that's who BOS was scouting?

So... not like Krug at all.

Time for JB to get into sell mode. If he isn’t already on the phone, moght be time to let him go. I wouldn’t hate him having another draft before the change. But I’m finally on board with Green gone. I kinda think JB has done well, but at the same time he’s accountable for this too. Looking like a top5 pick

Although there is a lack in RHD this year, I think it is a great year to finish low due to the amount of Defensemen available.
- Retinalz

That part is nice but these guys have limited games and limited practice time, toughest year ever to evaluate prospects.

Not to mention that travelling for scouts internationally must be a nightmare

He's done well at drafting, besides taking Juolevi over Tkachuk. However, his free agent signings have been his achilles heel. Still can't believe Loui is your highest paid forward

Highest cap hit per position

Forward: Loui Eriksson
Defense: Alex Edler + Tyler Myers
Goalie: Braden Holtby

That’s a group of stars right there

Total combined cap hit this year is $22.3M for those guys

I thought OJ had another good game. He is getting better every game IMO
- VANTEL

He was good. That play where frangiapani tried to go inside out on him and he just stuck with his guy.

I thought so too. It was close though. Need to get Markstrom moving more and get in his kitchen a bit.

Could Schmidt be the unluckiest guy? Double rebound into his net, then changing when all Myers has to do is get it in deep and instead he turns it over for a two on one goal.

All 3 pairings kinda suck, there’s no chemistry.

I’d just pair Hughes and Schmidt together then run Edler-Myers as the other pair but try to keep them away from speedy top lines, the 3rd pair can just be OJ-Benn

That's the part where I don't like Greens style. He is too much of a nice guy . He doesn't teach the guys how to make things look like accidents. Loose balance and land in the goalie crease or a one second tug on the stick .

I remember in the Habs series where Edler was at the other teams blue line and the player on the habs gave Edlers stick a very quick hold but was enough to let the other breaking Hab get a breakaway and score.

You rarely see the Canucks bending the rules.

- Codes1087

Worth a shot at this point fu*ck he'll probably score 15 goals before he goes down to injury lol
