The D looks like they are getting more comfortable with their pairings

Its been night and day of a difference to last week. The only change I'd like to see is Hamonic instead of Benn when he's healthy again. And I don't wanna see OJ come out again unless he really starts to struggle. It'd be nice to give him some more PK time as well - it would help ease up minutes on Edler, Myers.

Is Hamonic a step up over Benn?

Leafs first back to back is next week - we've played 4 already. But no excuses we gotta keep playing the way we did tonight and the last 2 games. Much better efforts and a lot closer to what this team is capable of.

Best game of the season for the Canucks...they were quick, pressured the Flames and put a lot of pucks on Marky.

Strong game for the D including 2 of 3 goals (Hughes, Myers), OJ was solid again...liked him playing the body.

Entertaining game, looking forward to Monday.

Rathbone should be playing games in Utica right now. Then he might be ready next season as well.

I thought of him too. I think if Canucks keep losing he will be playing here very soon. If they have bumped the slump then send him to Utica.

I wonder why they haven't sent him down. Do they think he's actually close to playing? Or do they think it's better for his development this year being around NHL players? Strange...

Can see that. Hopefully Podkolzin can come over the end of this year and get his feet wet. Lots of turnover upcoming... from the boxscores you've posted seems like Lind has been taking that next step. It'll be interesting what they do for Seattle:

Protect Boeser, Horvat, Petey, JTM, Motte, Lind, Gaudette, OJ, Schmidt, Demko... that leaves one other defense slot that they hopefully fill with a trade (JV)

I'm not sure either. I, imagine they think he is close and he looked good during camp. The taxi squad has lots of defencemen with more experience. 5 extra D are up. I think letting Rathbone get some game time would be good and considering Woo has to play his opposite side.

Maybe it has to do with $$ in some way or contracts.

I don't know.

Not so sure but Benn has looked better again the past few games. He must have gotten in better shape he looks way more mobile.

Could you imagine if we'd kept TT we'd have the best top 9 in the league next year.....

Saved money for a 3lc and a RHD. Danault and Savard.

I am keeping in mind the AHL is watered down this year but Lind is turning into a very nice prospect

It’s more than that. The whole point of the drop pass is to hit the blue line with speed, but every Flame who tried it slowed down through the neutral zone and had to figure out how to get past a wall of players.

I mean they won, so that’s good but it wasn’t an entertaining game.
