If the Penguins make a goalie move I don't believe it will be a major move like some people are hoping.
I'd expect them to trade for someone like Dubnyk or Miller. - Rinosaur
Yep, it would be a lateral move in terms of talent with DeSmith, but a veteran who can be a mentor to Jarry

Goal scoring machine!
Seriously though great game by that line. Pinned in Ovechkin and added an ES goal and and EN goal. |

Yup. They were awesome. The Pens really took control this period in general. The Caps came out flying, but they gave them nothing. |

Good win. - madmike71
Best game of the season for us. Good games by the 1st and 3rd line, Matheson, and Ceci. Even in the good overall game, though, Letang and Malkin gave a lot to be concerned about. This was even one of Letang's better games this season and there's still too much of the bad. Geno sucked, but he had been playing better recently so hopefully this is just a blip. If Letang and Malkin don't turn it around, nothing else matters. |

Would you guys be willing to switch wingers on 1&2?
Sacrifice the obvious chemistry that Sids line has now for a jumpstart to the 2nd line and hope Sids line still drives play. - Thorny87
I would definitely not do that. Honestly, If I could find a way to make our 4th line better, that would be my first move. Try to find a vet tender too. |

Glad to see some pens get some freebie points. Also glad to see Pitt play right to the end. They are notorious for blowing even 2 goal leads in the 3rd. A lot of good, still some bad. But hopefully it keeps trending the right way. |

Agreed. IMO if they can keep this level/style of play up and Geno finally wakes up then they have something.
Jarry finished with a .903%

That shouldn’t be a tough move and 100% needs to be done. They’re all plugs. Jankowski can’t be our 4C. |

That would be my goal. Laff should be a career ahler. Sceviour and jank seem generally safe but don’t provide much of anything otherwise. We know how the centre search goes so I personally would try to upgrade the wings for jank vs centreman. |

So, if Matheson can play decent, and POJ is here to stay, and we are satisfied with Ceci on the 3rd pair
Is Pettersson the guy we can move and what can we get?

Rock solid win. Guys worked hard, got to the net, and played a pretty solid overall game. Jarry was rough early on, but rebounded nicely. Penguins still need to do better. Given up way too many first period goals.
-Good special teams today
-2 goal lead two different times
-Regulation win
-Top 2 lines looked good
-Penguins creeping up on the Capitals for the 3rd spot (Islanders there too)
-Matheson played probably his best game as a Penguin.
-Still really like Kapanen. It hasnt translated to goals, but I like the game he plays.

Jarry wasnt terrible this game. First goal was a tough deflection, second is on him, third is all lazy russian
The team has looked alot better the past couple games, Jarry will improve as the team does. |

Fair enough.
I feel like the only hope this season is Geno and Sid playing well at the same time. I think the wing switch would be a huge boost to Geno and not a huge drag on Sid.
Maybe I’m reading to much into it but Kaps body language and Genos look similar when they struggle. |

I think Pettersson is the odd guy out. Not to mention Dumo will be back eventually as well.
I think Pettersson could fetch a top 9 player. I think the team still needs help at forward depth.
Ideally you could clear some salary while you're at it or pick up a pick. |

Yes... Should be easy to assemble a better 4th line. Scevior doesn't bother me as much, but Jank and Laff don't belong in the NHL. |

Sceviour is the best one and should be the worst player on a playoff team roster. That needs to change. |
