Turns out Covid wasn't the worst virus out there.

Sens gave the Habs "the suck".

Actually it started with the Sens games.

Which might be worse.

- Scabeh

Winning 3 straight against the Sens put the Canucks into a downward spiral.

Habs went from steamrolling everyone to an offensive slump.

- Scabeh

habs are not a top 2-3 finish team, short/reg or normal season. improved yes but not a threat to anyone in the long run. They will be exposed. Edm is a 2 man show no more no less. shut them down and you win a game unless your depth is beer league hockey. there will be a big gap in this division unless its gets as chippy as i expect and brings back 80-90's hockey

Why is it that every time theres a woman in the spotlight, she gets criticized on here?

Shilton, Campbell, and now Nurse?

Maybe you're just uncomfortable with a woman in a traditionally male role? Even if you're just saying what you think, thats maybe one opinion you might want to keep to yourself.

Didn’t the Panthers get the time to collapse memo yet?

Well when a guy sucks, we tell it like it is.

Why shouldn't we say the same if it's a woman?

I can't speak for the other two you mentionned, as I don't know them. But I did stumble upon Nurse the other day and... well she needs training communicating more naturally for sure.

Plenty of women are doing great in sports. For example, I've always been a huge fan of Chantal Machabée on RDS. She's a pro.

They usually get off to a terrible start only to have one of the best record in the last 2 months of the season.

Maybe they just read the script backwards?

Give her time, shes new.

They're trying to bring more women onto the scene to help with diversity and to grow the game.

Its just cringe when men feel the need to criticize women.

Last night it was "Cassie Campbell is wearing too much makeup"

like, (frank) off you ugly mutt.

But it was true. And actually distracting To me, pointing that out was no different than pointing out Friedmans homeless beard in the offseason.
Part of being a TV host is about looks, regardless of gender. I think the point is to not have a distraction point. Unless you're Don Cherry, I guess.

Yes well, that's completely different.

Saying stuff about appearances is just idiotic.

Then again, I remember Vincent Damphousse had the ugliest glasses the other day and everyone was going crazy until he took them off.

So... yeah.... equal treatment?

Yes, pretty much.
They are cramming too much makeup on most host on tv.
Has nothing to do with gender. That's a weak pov.

Let's temper our enthusiasm with at least one clear, sober thought: the Leafs are playing in a (frank)ing terrible division.
- mjones242

Yes pretty much.
I thought the top 5 would be tighter....but its still early

Is it terrible, or are the Leafs just that good?
- Steven_Seagull

Can't be that bad if 4 out of the top 10 teams in the league are from the Canadian Division.

1 Leafs
6 Montreal
7 Edmonton
9 Winnipeg

We're #1, how fu3king sweet is that.

Big Mike Smith wins it for the Oilers. That’s a bit concerning as it may get the Oil rolling if he goes Brady.

But as Kia said “They are awful defensively”
