I was off by 1 goal last night and they're playing tighter (go ahead and chuckle at tighter) hockey. They have no issues other than that third line and its a short season yes but it's not a worry. Sitting where we are and worrying about Fred or a year ago problem on D is laughable. Tougher competition outside of the division yes but we've got weeks before that is of concern. I see back checks and fewer flybys and our D is actually deep and providing points and break outs. why is anyone overly concerned? the TEAM is buying in - Northern Touch
They are complainers by nature.
No ones ever held them accountable for their constant Freddy hating until now.
You're right. GLG! |

but you said its zero chance the Habs miss.. - Arctic_AARDVARK
I said objectively speaking it cannot be argued that they are not the best team in the league. Try to keep up.

Agreed. No need for a trade unless someone else goes down. This is the best Leaf team I've seen.
Its finally a good time to be a TML fan |

The Habs are?
pretty sure TB (minus tonight) have been the best team. |

TB is still lethal you can't deny or overlook that. There's a reason they won last year bubble or not

Man is he ugly. But I agree if he can rediscover his 2012 self then the Oilers have a chance. - The Law
It was only 1 game so far, but from what I remember he can get hot. |

I'm often cheering for Tanner to be proven right about things...I liked Cody Franson.
😢 - Zezel
I did too, had a cannon, had a great wrist shot that actually got to the net.
Turned like a Tanker though |

First 15 minutes I thought it was over ..they were carrying the play. Not sure how the Leafs turned it around but the Habs almost looked like they faded. Fatigue is going to be a impact all year. - The Law
Right at the 10 min mark of the 2nd we seemed to find our game. |

every team is well coached..
Habs have a lot going for them, but they have no game breakers. Price isnt the best goalie in the NHL anymore.
I think its likely they'll cool off and fall to the middle of the pack, making it possible for CGY and WPG to get ahead of them. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Yup. Anderson is shooting at 23.7% right now which is totally sustainable for a guy who has a career 10.5%. Toffoli is also bonkers with 19.6% for, again, roughly the same career average.
Habs will cool down. It's been a goofy season and has rewarded teams that came out of the gate working hard every shift.
If we had last year's divisions, one wonders if the Habs would even secure a wild card position. |

I don't think there's been enough appreciation of how magically delicious it was when Justin Holl beat $10 Million man Price clean with an unscreened point shot yesterday. |

Let's temper our enthusiasm with at least one clear, sober thought: the Leafs are playing in a (frank)ing terrible division. |
