He did say Holl was the 5th best D in the league this year ( using fancy #’s and not including the top 20 D due to less minutes ) - Garnie
I'm often cheering for Tanner to be proven right about things...I liked Cody Franson.

I thought the Habs looked ok last night. - Garnie
First 15 minutes I thought it was over ..they were carrying the play. Not sure how the Leafs turned it around but the Habs almost looked like they faded. Fatigue is going to be a impact all year. |

Gotta give the Flames the edge over the Oilers. Markstrom is good. Koskismith blows. I'm just so proud that I picked Vancouver to finish 2nd this season in Wedgie's prediction blog. 👍 - gergeswillems
I think I had Vancouver second or third also. |

Tanner thinks that the word objectively changes sentence into an objective statement. Like, objectively speaking, blue is the best colour of all time and I'm not sure it's close. - Zezel
My favourite was when he argued that number are just facts. They can't really be disputed.
Nevermind that people were disputing his conclusions, not his numbers (which were also based on shoddy, uncontrolled data gathering)

Yeah he seems to think sports analytics are the same as 2 + 2 = 4 or the Pythagorean theorem. |

I think theres a chance MTL could miss the playoffs.
If they cool off, they're in trouble. McJesus and Drai are dragging that team to the postseason 100%. WPG and CGY are heating up, and will scratch and claw for a spot. Leafs arent going to give MTL any easy pts, and they still have like 8 games left. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Sorry but this is ridiculous. The Habs are legit. They work waay too hard consistently to fall apart, and the pieces they added have been excellent. |

The chance of them missing the playoffs is objectively zero, and it isn't even close. If they stay healthy, they could well be the team that goes through. They are better than Tampa. That cannot be argued.

i dont think they work any harder than WPG or CGY.
they've probably been over achieving a bit. Their defence will wear down, theyre older. Allen is playing better than he should be. Maybe they do keep this up, but i suspect they wont.

Speaking of Tampa... Stamkos is injured again. Not playing tonight. "Lower body injury." |

Their lineup is very balanced, they play a disciplined system, are very well coached, and have Cary Price. Btw, I never said *you* were ridiculous - I said your opinion on the Habs was. |

Any team, including the Habs, including the Leafs, can miss the playoffs this year.
You hit a cold streak, every game is a 4-point game, BLAMMO!, you might find yourself on the outside, looking in. |

every team is well coached..
Habs have a lot going for them, but they have no game breakers. Price isnt the best goalie in the NHL anymore.
I think its likely they'll cool off and fall to the middle of the pack, making it possible for CGY and WPG to get ahead of them. |

precisely what im saying.
I think they've been overachieving.. or CGY has been underachieving.. |

I was off by 1 goal last night and they're playing tighter (go ahead and chuckle at tighter) hockey. They have no issues other than that third line and its a short season yes but it's not a worry. Sitting where we are and worrying about Fred or a year ago problem on D is laughable. Tougher competition outside of the division yes but we've got weeks before that is of concern. I see back checks and fewer flybys and our D is actually deep and providing points and break outs. why is anyone overly concerned? the TEAM is buying in |
