Highmore's penalty has completely changed the complexion of the game.

He's gotta go back to Rockford and improve his game. Not ready for this quite yet. I think he's regressed from his rookie season, which is never a good sign. And with all the competition we have in the bottom 6 its gonna be next to impossible for him to earn a starting role unless he starts playing much better.

He was playing like poop, but still had value. So did Strome. Them together as a package was a very enticing trade option at the time. But in no way was i ever trying to move them unless it was improving the current roster/for equal value in return.

I don't think Highmore deserves to be in the NHL right now, despite what i said about DeBrincat last season. I think he needs some fine tuning.

These are the losses you go through when you're a team like the Hawks. Young and learning. We're clearly not quite there yet. No shame in the defeat, no reason to worry or feel upset. We're very exciting and the future is very bright!!!

Too late now. Everybody now knows he sux. Stan shoulda sold high.

Hopefully Lanky has short memory, good game, tough loss.

Murphy will help when he returns.

The forwards need to be better too(Strome especially was awful tonight).

But tonights team defensive effort/performance was as bad as we've seen since last season.

The turnovers. The slop. The constant chances allowed at will.

Lankenin also with an off-night or else maybe we'd have survived all of that.

Either way it's irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

It was actually a good game to watch until the last three minutes, turnovers and all. You learn and move on, hopefully the lesson is to keep shots against down and don’t take stupid penalties.
