Speed and consistent effort.

He is also about a year removed from severing tendons in his wrist, and that is a year where he has not been able to play a lot. I think maybe some patience is in order. The goal this evening was a gift, but you need some luck now and then.

i am far more concerned with the complete lack of physical presence on this team, the goalie who lets in at least one softie, every game, and the guys who only show up sometimes.

Tavares sucks right now.
- Atomic Wedgie

2 points behind Matthews, who is God apparently, while Tavares has Nylander who has been pretty invisible, and Matthews gets to play with Marner, who is their best player this year... not to mention the first unit PP time.

Who was the POS we had who hit a guy from behind every game?

We had him for about 2/3 of a season.

there was something wonky going on with the shot counts last night.
NST and money puck have a decent advantage for the Habs, watching the game didnt match up and I saw several people mentioning on twitter that there were shots/attempts that werent counted or counted as a blocked shot when it wasnt.

James Mirtle

Keefe says the Leafs gave up the lowest number of scoring chances all season tonight.

David Alter
@dalter
Although Montreal had more shots in the game, Toronto won the slot shots on net battle 16-10, per Sportlogiq. Toronto had 8 of those in the third period.

NST has the shots 30-15 at 5v5 but the high danger cf 9-10

anyone else feel the shots didnt make sense?

Wish he would have tuned Perry in shift right after that hit in Holl.

But yeah, he brings a rare dose of stability. Love it.

- joel878

Karma on Perry was he himself was driven into the boards behind Price as he tried to check the Leafs player

Lack of concentration is what you expect from a Dane. They're all laid-back to the extreme and daydream about drinking beer all day long. 1 softy per game is like 1 softy per season for a Canuck.

The game did not appear to be as lopsided as the shot total.

Both goals against last night were OMG....

The first was clearly Freddy being late to the butterfly, again... 5 hole.

The second goal, I have no idea WTF Freddy was doing or how he even ended up where he was holy (frank)in cow, what a brain fart...

The Leafs were franking dreadful in the first and half of the second, which would explain the shot differentials.

Agreed, but many of the shots were not from dangerous areas.
