No thanks to Shoemaker.
Paxton/Odorizzi, and Walker please. - Archaic
Why, he has been great as a Jay. Injuries were his only problem.
Nodorizzi will cost double and will have a 4+ ERA
Walker is fine but has a bad attitude |

what exactly are you basing this on?
sure laine and torts will eventually get along just fine. laine doesn't strike me as a soy-generation product. - MaximusAurelius
Have you ever seen him interact with the media, or as part of the media, or look at his reputation? I mean if he's that big an dbag outworldly, imagine what he'd be like behind closed doors.

Doubt it. Hell play out his RFA years and walk to a big market IMO. Also, Torts is a dbag, so im sure there are a lot of players who do not like him. - Archaic
And a lot of players lasted more than 3 days before getting benched. Laine is an idiot |

Odorizzi is a much better pitcher, and is a proven starter, Shoemaker is not. Walker's attitude was good from what I saw during his stint with the Jays, no?

Let’s compromise. He’s both. It’s not a good way to ingratiate yourself with your new teammates to mouth off to a coach that they’ve been putting up with for years. |

Happy Gameday.
Time to continue our game of the other teams' jerseys game.
Premise is simple: you are given one free shirt from each team in the league - who do you get?
Today we go through the Discover Central Division.
Tampa Bay: I'm tempted to go with Rob Zamuner here, and then when people ask me "WTF?" I can tell them about his Team Canada Olympic selection. I like Stamkos, too. But this one was always going to end up with Dave Andreychuk.
Florida: I have no franking idea. I never really liked Bure - either of them. I could go with a Gary Roberts, and then have a protein shake stain on the front. Jagr would be fun. But I'm going to go with Bryan McCabe, with the C on the front.
Chicago: I've never really liked the Blackhawks due to the Norris Division rivalry, so this one is obviously going to a goon from that era. Stu Grimson wins this one over Dave Manson and Bob Probert.
Columbus: I'm literally googling "best Columbus Blue Jackets" right now. First thought was to go with Rick Nash, but I'm going to go with goon Jody Shelley. Either way, this never gets taken out of the closet. Oh, and it will be the jersey with the cannon on the front.
Carolina: Obviously this is going to be a Whalers jersey. Shanny? Pronger? My brother would go with Keon. Howe is tempting. But I'll go with Sean Burke - always good to get a goalie sweater.
Dallas: Tempted to go with Modano, because while I never liked him, I always respected him. And I like #9. But I'm going to keep with the goon theme here from the Chuck Norris Division: Basil McRae over Shane Churla - in a North Stars jersey.
Nashville: Was going to go with a Paul Kariya here, but he's going to be my Anaheim, so I'll go with PK Subban here.
Detroit: Logic would dictate I take Bob Probert here, but I'm going to go with something funnier: I'll take a McCarty, and when we do the Honda West Division, I'll get a Lemieux for my wife, and we will sit together at a Red Wings game.

Yes.
And for the record, it was Will Ferrell who first said "strategery." |

Trump said the free press is the enemy of the people, the election was rigged, his political and media opponents should be jailed, Kim Jong Un wrote him a 'beautiful letter', et cetera, et cetera.
Every President in history is vastly superior to Trump in every conceivable way. |

Domi was benched in his first game.
I guess the thing I have issue with, is that they knew what Laine was when the traded for him. Give him a while, and keep talking to him about it. Maybe after 10 games bench him? This just seems like a power thing with Torts.

Tampa: I gotta go with Martin St-Louis. The guy has been an inspiration to small players everywhere and deserves so much recognition.
Florida: There is only one player that truly represents de Florida Panthers. And that's Roberto Luongo. Although in a few years, that answer could change to Aaron Ekblad.
Chicago: Tony Amonte! Always enjoyed watching him fly like the wind at the allstar games when I was young.
Columbus: Ugh... I guess Rick Nash but I have absolutely no love for this franchise.
Carolina: Ever since the Whalers moved to Carolina, I kinda hated the Hurricanes because they keep reminding me that the Whalers don't exist anymore. So (frank) you Hurricanes, I'm buying a Whalers Geoff Sanderson jersey instead.
Dallas: Mike Modano. I don't see anyone else.
Nashville: The obvious answer would be Shea Weber. But he's a Habs now and I want his Habs jersey instead! I'll go and grab a Ryan Ellis jersey. He's a player that keeps being underrated imo. Love that player.
Detroit: The end of the 90's Detroit teams were amazing. So many great players to choose from and watching this allstar lineup play was fun in itself. Especially since they were playing Colorado in these amazing series (I was kinda mad at Roy for leaving at the time, I'm past that now). Despite all that, my favorite Wings played later for them. Henrik Zetterberg. I'll always remember how he managed to prevent Crosby from scoring during the cup finals while also producing offensively. He was amazing.
