So something occurred to me last night as Tom Brady was speaking.
He said that the Buccaneers are World Champions, and I realized that every Superbowl world champ has been from the United States, going on 55 years or so.

Bennett would bring a dynamic this team cannot currently fill: size, grit, and can slide from W to C if need be.
Soup, Engvall, or Vesey would be targeted to be shifted out if Bennett was acquired.
Kerfoot could be a guy they might move at the TDL if they want an upgrade on the backend -- Bennett gives them flexibility as a potential 3C Kerf is turfed.
Not saying any of this happens but "meh" is not how I would classify adding Sam on this club. |
