Here is another flip flop. What a difference Couturier makes to this team, yet they don't have any elite players. He's probably not even 100%.
- MJL

Here we go again. I think Couturier is a great player and leader on this team. Couturier is a lot of good things, but he is NOT an elite offensive player. No flip-flop here, but keep trying.

I can't win you over no matter what I post. If I am positive towards a player or the team you claim I flip-flop, yet if I am negative I am uninformed and don't know what I'm looking at. You are a tough cookie!

Farabee showing he has the potential to be an elite player. Scoring at a 37 goal, 37 assist and 74 point pace as a 20 year old in the NHL.
- MJL

Yes, if he can keep this up, you will get no argument from me. BTW did you see Laine's two goals last night? I am not a fan of him overall, but that is what I call elite offensive talent.

What a difference he makes! Your statement. A player that makes that much of a difference is an elite player. They also have other players with elite talent in Farabee and Konecny. Like I pointed out to you earlier. Compare their production at their age to Brad Marchand. Who didn't become an elite player until his late 20's. This team has plenty of high level talent.

Flip-flop. Flip-flop.

We are back to Delusional MJL this morning. Its not a flip-flop if I don't agree with you! And its "Elite OFFENSIVE talent", you conveniently leave this word out in your replies. Maybe Farabee and TK will turn into players like Laine, or Pastrnak in terms of offensive ability. Maybe they won't, we'll just have to wait and see.

I see glimpses of a good shot. I also see a player that disappeared for what, 8 games after his 4 point opening night. I think its too early to anoint Farabee an elite scorer in this league. But he is showing potential, no doubt about that.

That's just semantics spin on your part. Finally you're coming around to reality. Every player develops at their own pace. For some you do have to wait and see! That's the point! You can call me delusional but what we really see repeatedly is how off base your comments are.

This team is slow
This team stinks
This team has no elite talent.
The young player are what they are ( see flip flop above)

And on and on and on...…….

Farabee has played well all season. Even when not putting up points, he is still involved, still playing well away from the puck and still getting chances.

More proof that you don't know what you're looking at.

Glimpses of a good shot. LMAO

MJL, lets be real for a moment please,
1.The Flyers are a slow team, you can't possibly watch these games and tell me they are not a slow team. They are constantly chasing the puck and at times look like they are skating in mud! Several of their forwards, including the hallowed Nolan Patrick, has below average speed.
2. So far this year, the Flyers I think lead the league in shots against, have given up multiple 3rd period leads and have struggled to put 60 minutes together. So its not a stretch to state so far this year they stink, and the only reason they are 8-3-2 is luck.
3. Right now, I don't believe there is elite offensive talent on this team. They have good complimentary players, but no potential 40 goal scorers, unless of course Farabee keeps up his current pace as you pointed out. Until that happens I stand by my opinion.
4. I believe Lindblom, Patrick, Frost are what they are, I don't see anything in their games that tell me they are going to grow into offensive forces in this league. I don't watch the Phantom's games, but from reading updates and looking at stats, I don't see any player jumping out at me. I was hoping Foerster could be that guy given his potentially elite shot, but already he is out with injury; I swear this franchise is cursed!!! If you were to truly take off the orange & black glasses and watch Nolan Patrick, you know I'm right about him.

Sorry, these are just my opinions. If you feel otherwise good for you. Again for the 85th time, I hope you are right.

Playing well away from the puck does not constitute elite offensive talent. Even Lindblom does that! What I meant, and you know it, was he disappeared from the score sheet! More proof you just like to argue ...

Yes, lets be real. The Flyers are a not a slow team. They are an average skating team. Again, we're going back over the same issues. When the Flyers aren't skating and aren't moving their feet, they play slow. I know the difference. Every team has players that are below average. I would disagree that Patrick has below average speed. I would say his skating is average but I actually know what I'm looking at.

The Flyer no doubt has some issues and areas where they need to improve. However in sports, wins and losses are what ultimately matters. It is a stretch to say they stink. In fact it's asinine and absurd to say they stink as they sit tied for 2nd in the league in overall points. As a disclaimer, the Flyers have played more games than teams their tied with but still are at the top of the standings

3. Right now, I don't believe there is elite offensive talent on this team. They have good complimentary players, but no potential 40 goal scorers, unless of course Farabee keeps up his current pace as you pointed out. Until that happens I stand by my opinion.

I know what you believe. I have pointed out to you that they do have elite offensive talent. As they have young players who are showing that promise. They also have a goaltender with elite talent who has the potential to develop into one of the best goalies in the league. They also have Sean Couturier, who you admitted makes a big difference. Ivan Provorov has already led the NHL in goals scored for a defenseman one season. You've just tried to change and argue semantics to save face.

4. I believe Lindblom, Patrick, Frost are what they are, I don't see anything in their games that tell me they are going to grow into offensive forces in this league. Lindblom last year was on pace to score 30 goals before his illness took over. Frost has played what 22 NHL games? Patrick missed a full season and didn't play for something like 20 months. Hear you go again, now it's developing into an offensive force. You don't have to be an offensive force to be a very good player.

Foerster is out with an injury so there goes his future! Honestly what a dumb statement.
We've already established that you have no ability to accurately assess a players talent and future potential with your comments that the young players are what they are. No spin, changing of terms, or limiting it to certain players will change that. Yes, let's be real here for a moment please. You have no clue what real is.

You read a lot into my statements don't you? I NEVER said Tyson Foerster's future was over. I simply pointed out that its amazing how much bad luck this team has had with its young players, like Laberge, Allison, Patrick, Lindblom, Morin, and now a kid that I was really looking forward to watching because he has an elite shot is out with what looked like to me an MCL injury. I feel bad for these players, that was my only point in that statement!

I am happy you at least admitted I am right once in a while, that's progress!

You are SO WRONG with this statement! When you draft a player at number 2 overall with players like Pettersson, Makar and Heiskanen on the board, you dammed well better be getting a player that's an offensive force. I can get a very good player in the 3rd round for crying out loud! I mean, you demonstrate more and more that you don't have an objective bone in your body! It's you that does not have a clue!

This statement " was hoping Foerster could be that guy given his potentially elite shot, but already he is out with injury" has an obvious intent. Already is the key word. He can still be that guy and this injury is just a bump in the road.

So just to be clear, you're saying that I'm wrong that a player doesn't have to be an offensive force to be a good player? That because Patrick was drafted 2nd overall, unless he meets the potential of a 2nd round pick and becomes an offensive force, he won't be a good player? That if he becomes a 20-20 player that plays a sound all around game, he won't be a good player?
You can get a good player in any round. The dumb coming from you just continues on. I'll give you some time to think about it. I'll await the flip-flop.
