Does Andersen get the start tonight? - Atomic Wedgie
Van is really struggling. I’d start Hutch and go for a 9-7 win. Rest Fred. |

Freddie has made 0 impact on this team.
he's just a regular NHL goalie.
not bad - but Cory Crawford level. (a team could win a SC with him, but he's not an elite guy). - MaximusAurelius
Last 3 years only 5 goalies .920 or better ( using 4000 minutes )
Fred is .915, last year it went down a bit ( can’t seem to understand why, except when the trolls come and we blame the coach and quitting and our top players being injured ).

Freddie's lost 8 consecutive series-deciding games in playoffs.
Most of those games, the loss was at least partly direclty his fault.
he's just not good under pressure. - MaximusAurelius
In 2020 before the lockdown he was virtually identical to Hutchinson statistically (Forget exactly when I looked this up)
He has completely (frank)ed the team and poop the bed in each deciding game, and even the apologists around here were forced to acknowledge it. He has choked so consistently, he should be traded for that alone.
Just about every game there are comments on here about him whiffing on a goal or flailing around on his stomach. The Leafs are winning in spite of him.

I agree with Garnie, in particular considering the contracts of both.
and Dermott has much more value than a second as well. - MaximusAurelius
Engvall blows. Can't crack the lineup. Can he skate? Yes. Can he do anything else at an NHL level?🤔 |

We’d win 7-0 and then Hutch would be the new starter in here. |

You value Dermott and Engvall that high? They are rotation players for our bottom lines.
That would be a good trade for the leafs. |

So Dermott’s value is at least a 1st round pick? Nah bruh. |

With Spezza playing so well, I wonder where Bennett slots in on Monday? |

Dermott and Engvall for Bennett WITH salary retained is fair.
There are arguments for both packages but that's why it is called a trade |

Possible. But I believe Kerfoot is gone if it happens.
That would make it Kadri for Bennett, does that make the Kadri trade look better for Kyle? Not sure. |

Some people need to watch some of our goals we’ve scored this year. Then you’ll know leaky. 🥴 |

I get it, there’s a significant gap between starting a Top 10 Goaltender to starting one that’s barely NHL tender. But we can’t burn Freddie out. |

Crouse scored 15 goals last season playing 13min ATOI and had 200 hits in 66 games. Methinks if he played with Snakevares he would score 25 goals, easy. - mjones242
I'm in! (the hits alone are something we could use) |

Kerfoot 19 goals and 15 goals with back to back 40+ pts season.
Bennett 18 goals and some 13 goal years never had 40 pts.
But getting Bennett for kerfoot is a coup? |

I’d rather Engvall at the moment. I think he has more then what he’s shown given some more ice and time. JMO - Garnie
I am usually on the same page with most of your posts but WTF G?!??!
Engvall is terrible, like really, really terrible at everything but long-necked skating straight up or down the ice. Anything else,
The puck dies on his stick, period. He doesn't hit or use his size at all. I honestly can't think of anything good about his game. At all. And, I'm not even exaggerating.
Wish I could see what you see. |

.918 with 2 shutouts vs .888 with 0 shutouts - Steven_Seagull
Funny, I was thinking about that last game....Freddy and shutouts are very rare. Makes you go Hmmmmm?!?!
I'm not a huge Freddy hater. I just like the idea of only a couple of tweaks to the line up and this Leafs team could be pretty unbeatable. Starts in net and I can't get past looking at Fred cuz of contract and age.....and inconsistent stats.
Up front we're good, especially rotating in "prove me" vets to round it out.
On the back, Sandin in with Bogo and get rid of the other try out players/(frank)ING MARINCIN and probably leave Dermott as the 7th. |
